Re: How about some pics of '73-'87 Long Beds Part II
Thanks. It has nice original paint yet. I still use it to mow the grass, blow the snow and pull a 2 bottom plow. I swapped in a 2 speed rear with diff lock from a 420.

Re: How about some pics of '73-'87 Long Beds Part II
Hi guys just picked up this beauty. 76 GMC K25 Sierra Grande. 350, 4-speed, 4wd 6" suspension lift. Just rebuilt the carb and got her running last week. Really happy everything works as well as it does for sitting so long (4 years). Interior needs some work but going to the bone yard this week to see what i can get.

Re: How about some pics of '73-'87 Long Beds Part II
Here's a pic of my '84 K10. I'm in the middle of putting a L31 Vortec into it. It will have a Performer intake, 1406 Edelbrock carb, Comp Cams XR258HR roller cam and long tube headers. Only have 31" Baja Claws for it right now but they are dur to be replaced next year. I put some GM 5 leaf springs in the back (possibly from a K20?) and had some custom 3 leaf springs made for the front. It has the SM465 and a NP205 T-case. Once I get through the engine build I'm going to start saving for some lockers as the rear is an open dif. |

Re: How about some pics of '73-'87 Long Beds Part II
Just picked up this square body from a guy I used to work with. It is a 1986 GMC with about 40k on a semi built up 350 and rebuilt tranny as well. It has a 4 inch lift. It is a little rough here and there but I think it will make a nice toy. It is not my daily driver since I drive about 400 miles per week and it seems to get about 13 mpg. The truck has been local it entire life and I am the fourth owner. The body and frame has a little over 200k on it. |

Here is my '85 Scottsdale. It now has a mild 454 and a built 350. The paint and most of the interior are original, except for a dash cover and the CD player.

Re: How about some pics of '73-'87 Long Beds Part II
This is my 84 I picked it up last summer I am the second owner the original owner ordered the truck at 60+ years old, I replaced the dual pipes and added some baffled glass packs. I threw away the rotten Goodyear wranglers and put some cooper Cobras on the original rims because I had them laying around It's a 6.2 700r4. The truck was kept up real well and I have all the records. The interior is like new. Not a scratch stain or crack the ashtray has never been used. The pull straps are broken, but that happened right away anyway on all of them I pulled the running boards and the huge white " Alberta Wild Rose Country " mud flaps It has the usual rust above the wheels on the bedsides, and the holes along the bottom edge from the running boards You can see the tar along the bottom still that sealed them and kept rust out. Still working on cleaning that up and changing fluids and filters. A/c blows cold even. It's nice to open a folder and you know exactly when and what was done to a truck in its lifetime. Nothing is hacked at all. It's the cheapest and best shape square body I have bought yet, I wasn't looking for one when I bought it but couldn't pass it up. I'll prob keep it as is for awhile so I can finish up other projects.

Going down in a week to look/bid at this truck that is going up in an estate auction. 85 with 144,000 miles. 90 year old gentleman owns it. Looks pretty clean.
