Re: Project Coca-Rustola: '67 C20 Longstepper
Thanks, guys. Wasn't in the show. Just happened to drive by and thought I'd stop and check things out. Probably would be a good idea to change out the gear oil in the tranny and rearend before I get too crazy driving around.

Re: Project Coca-Rustola: '67 C20 Longstepper
Stopped by vendor Joe's today, and picked up a few things. Only went there for a radiator. Came away with an almost new radiator, Barden rear bumper, disc/drum prop valve, and the 72 front crossmember and suspension for my disc brake conversion. I can never just buy the one thing I went there for. Always find something else I want.

Re: Project Coca-Rustola: '67 C20 Longstepper
Nice bumper! Are you going to have to modify the bumper to fit flush onto the rear fenders?

Re: Project Coca-Rustola: '67 C20 Longstepper
I'll do a little modding to get ot to fit the stepside bed. But I'm not going to wrap it around to the fenders. I just couldn't pass it up for the price.

Drove Ol' Crusty home today, and hung the old Barden bumper. I like it.

Well, Ol' Crusty is off to a new home. But that's ok. I got this now, so all's good. Still a Chevy.

Congratulations on the new truck. I'm going to miss crusty too. I was enjoying watching the progress

Re: Project Coca-Rustola: '67 C20 Longstepper
I'll get another one someday. Still love these trucks. I swung by and talked to the guy who bought it a few days later. He's loving it. After I got it running, I never went back and checked the timing and could never get it much over 55 mph. He dialed in the timing, and now cruises down the freeway 65-70 mph no problem. He's also likely to keep the Coke theme too now. I think Ol Crusty went to a good home where he will be driven like a C20 is supposed to be.
