A year from now when you get your license you will find that it went by real fast.

A suggestion for your tailgate, find one that is junked, rusted on the bottom, whatever and cut a section from the top rail to patch yours where it's dented. It's almost impossible to fix a dent in that area. If you cant find a gate to chop, then cut the area of the dent on the inside down a couple inches so you can roll it up and hammer it back into shape, then bend it back to flat on top and weld it back in place, then bend it back down on the inside and weld the inner. Shouldn't have to cut the outside, just the inside and then up and over the top of the rail.
i agree completely, this is my goal right now... running legal driving and everything fixed then interior and engine bay look really nice (cant say show since im going to end up driving the truck practically daily) snd have it with the paint it has.

Re: 1967 Chevy CST aka "the loud truck"

Well I went and waited 3 hours at DMV... They ran my vin an said theres no such vin any more.. So if there were any fees or anything on the truck there wiped clean.... Now it will be $62 bucks and a check off by the CHP and she can be registered! So it's coming along

Oh and I almost forgot... Called the glass shop.... They said 120 for the rear window installed and bought, and 130 for the front window bought and installed so a grand total of 250 bucks and the front and rear window are in with my weather stripping

Rick, I know a really good glass guy that I use frequently. He will come to your house and his prices are pretty reasonable. Let me know if you want his number.

Re: 1967 Chevy CST aka "the loud truck"

well hers pictures of sanding around all the holes.... theres gas tank carpet holes, holes for somthing that i can onl say was a awkwardly maounted gun rack..., the 3 point seat belt holes and then theres the RH sun visor holes, sun visro hook holes and holes for another style of rear view mirror. so i sanded all of those just to clean them up a little, then i worked on the window frame and cleaned it up. here are some pics

Thanks Jeremy! I gotta unlock the brakes... Then after that I'll post pictures of the tailgate and how straight it is now.
Now I need to work on the exterior side of the rear window frame.

Funny you say that about the gunrack holes. My 67 has a bunch of holes that seemed to point to a gunrack being there at one time in its life. Must been a big hit for these era trucks to have them.
