So here's what it looks like mounted on the arm with the kit. When installed in the car, all it does it "ride along" with the pedal. There is nothing to activate it. I had it all set up, tried it backward, forward, anyway to make it work but the brake lights never came on.

I don't get how it looks "activated" in this pic. If I installed it right, all it does is ride along with the pedal, the part that moves is the shaft conneted to the booster. I installed it JUST LIKE THIS and had no brake lights. All the brake light switch did was swing back and forth with the pedal.

So back to this. I removed the crap from under my dash. See how it's shaped like the original one? I removed it from the back of the booster, mounted the booster and it lined up really really well after adjusting the height of the booster under the hood.
...and guess what? I HAVE BRAKE LIGHTS! They come on with just about 1/4" of travel from the pedal, damn near perfect. I also checked pedal movement and everything looked free and smooth. So I feel really bad NPD tried so hard to help and I didn't need it at all? I don't get it. I have read Ford used different brake pedals for manual/auto and even disc/drum so maybe being a factory disc car (somewhat uncommon for 65) my car didn't need the bracket... I just don't know. I wasted SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO MUCH TIME screwing with it.

So, another weekend... no car. Damn it.
At least I'm kinda close now. The bracket is locked down. The top two booster bolts are tight. I can get the bottom inside one from underneath... no friggin' clue how I'm going to get the bottom one near the inner fender. Fun. So with that and a sore back, I called it a weekend. I did throw the MC on to see how it all looked together.

I got the eastwood flaring tool for sale on ebay (through eastwoods store) for ~$200 and free shipping. I was sick of using the crappy tools. In addition to the Mustang lines (I still have to make two more for the back) I'll be redoing the fuel lines for my 67, and possibly some brake lines, and I will make all the brake and fuel lines for my 67 Firebird when it's time. So, it's extremely expensive, but it was worth it for me.
I almost wish I had stuck with non power, would have been a lot easier. The brakes weren't all that hard to push manual anyway. I have also mislocated this $42 little booger... I'm NOT buying another one. Going to be fun tearing garage apart.

Awwwwwww. Hartwell is OK. I prefer Keowee. I've been on pretty much every large lake in this area. I used to have a lot of fun on the lakes until my boat blew up in like '09. It was a gift from inlaws when they got a new boat (it was their old one). Cars are more important to me so I sold the boat for $800 with a blown motor (it was a 1996 or so 18' bayliner.)

Then she got a MUCH needed bath! I don't have the shocks hooked up (can't buy any damn parts off the shelf anymore, even had to order the KYB shocks!) which also means no support braces, AND I STILL couldn't find that stupid $42 part posted above to hook up the booster. I even "put it where I would find it"... and 3 months later... where the heck is it?

So I ordered a larger fan shroud, overflow, and going to try some water wetter to keep it cool this summer. If that fails again (like having to keep the A/C off in traffic, although with all the timing tweeks I made, I think I got it into check by the end of summer, but it was never much above 85-90* outside after that time) I will be cutting the damn core support, installing a 24" radiator and ford contour fans (pulls air like Taurus, but is much thinner and uses two fans instead of one.)

The Taurus fan was a little too thick for my wife's Camaro. I was able to cut the entire front of the housing down to get to clear in her situation. IIRC I cut about 3/4" off of it.

I spent a couple hours doing the same thing last night. The best I could get it was to where it was just barely rubbing the WP pulley and it's cut down so the nose of the fan is almost on the radiator. It's just not going to fit. My radiator is only 17" wide by 16.5" top to bottom (fin area). The contour fan would fit width - wise, but being a dual fan, I don't think I could cut it up and make it work properly, plus it's only a single speed fan, I would need both.
I love the Taurus fans. I used one on my 99 S10 back in the day. I had it completely hidden within the factory shroud.

Good day/Bad day.
Good day is that I FOUND THAT STUPID PART! It was in my Z71's center console, I must have planned to bring it in to buy hoses for it. Bad news... I put a damn hole in my radiator. So, I had an idea yesterday to slot the core support, put the radiator behind it, then I saw a pic of it done today! I've tried like hell to do things that "look" factory, but I'm to the point I don't give a crap anymore. No more doing things 3 times. Oh, I also couldn't just install that part, I had to remove the pedal rod bracket. I swear you can't work on anything on these cars without taking 2 other parts off.

Me too. Kinda pissed about the radiator. I could have it fixed, but the overall system isn't cooling the car enough as it is, time for an upgrade.
67 isn't much to look at anymore. It's pics come out overly flattering. Driver condition at best. Be lucky to get 4-5 grand if I put it up on craigslist. Wouldn't take 20K for it though, it's been my baby the past 18 years. The 65 I wouldn't take less than 17K for, and it's not even worth that (damn fastbacks are the ones that demand $, that's how I got it so cheap)! It's just as pretty in person as she is in her pics, if not a little better, so I'd have to get a stupid offer of 17 or 18K for it to even think about it. I bought this monster last night. 4 row. Only have a 2-1/4" 3 row now. This one is a 3-1/4" 4 row. After some measuring, I may have to slot the core support just to reuse my clutch fan. That may solve another issue too... I think there is too much space (~1.5") between the radiator and condenser. If they're closer together the pull through both should be more efficient. That could also be part of the overheating A/C issue.

ADD struck again.
I've been reading about how to "de stink" my car. It's not bad, but does have an exhaust smell every now and again. I COMPLETELY sealed the floor and firewall when I did the dynamat thing, so that was out, then I was reading about how the fuel tank should be sealed with strip caulk... and rust poking out around the fuel tank always bothered me. So I took it out. Most people don't know (and to be honest, I didn't either) that the fuel tank IS the trunk floor. This car is SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO rusty That's the original Ford Sheet Metal. Floor, quarters, and all are all Ford with Zero patches except for one on the PS floor pan I found. Oh, and guess what I didn't find? That's right. Any kind of sealant.
