I might have a DRW tail gate with the lights on it if you're interested. That's great progress on the body work. Sucks to hear about the wasted door. But you're probably used to seeing that happen in your field. But it still sucks, even when it's yours. Been there done that.

Thanks Ryan. But i'm not crazy about the tailgate lights. Besides the taligate that came off of this truck is super nice.
Yea i see more than my share of damaged parts. Looks they kicked them to the shop instead of caring them in a enclosed truck

I'll have to clone myself to go any faster and that's a scarry thought.

I have 3" drop spindles for the front and doing a flip on the rear. I have already put 2" drop springs in the front, though i think it dropped it about 3" instead and also 3" shackles in the rear, they may have to come off. I guessing 6-8 total, maybe more?

Wow, that's ugly. You better just send it up here when you get it done.

Great job, that looks pretty dang nice. The thing I like about it the most is, the color combo is cool and you don't see many like it!

Thanks. I agree on it being lower, i think it will make all the difference in the truck.

The doors are another story. I ordered a aftermarket door knowing that it might fit very good, and i was right. Except it dont fit at all. It has about a 3/8 gap at the back and sticks out about 1/4 at the bottom front. So now it's back to patching rust on the original door.
I still am shooting for paint this weekend.

That always sucks! My tri-plus fender on my Longhorn fits like crap too. So I'm told from the body guy.

Re: crew cab short bed build " clifford"

I scored a 79 parts truck yesterday that has a lot of good parts including the door i need and a hood. It also has i beleive a C&C rear under it. It looks like all the grille chrome is good also!

In the mean time i will get the other three doors cut in and ready for paint and paint the dash this weekend.

What's next after paint? What are your plans for the drivetrain?

Drivetrain is done. 5.3 and 4l60e. Next will be be lowering it, putting interior back in and mounting the burb buckets. It will take a little time to get all the doors back together and get all the trim on.

Hopefully i will get the doors painted next weekend.

I got half the drop done, kinda got a stinkbug stance right now but i will take care of it.
Plans for the weekend is to get the doors cut in Sat. and maybe shoot them sun. I need to go get the parts truck that i bought sometime sun. so i can get the other door and hood.

Then i will try and do the flip one night next week.

It sure helps get things done during the weeknights when you can work indoors in some decent light. Looks great!
