Re: How about some pics of 73-87 Long Beds?
Every time I get on here I keep seeing trucks that make me drool. Keep up the good work guys.
Time for another update on mine. Today, I went out and bought my CB antenna's and last week I mounted my spare tire carrier and spare. I think it's looking better everyday.

Re: How about some pics of 73-87 Long Beds?
its half ton w/ a factory 454. all loaded and all works, even the old vacuum cruise. i bought from original owner. he had an old fishing camper and full wheel covers on it. i had the ralleys and white letter tires on another truck.
It drives like a dream. a close approximation of my high school hot rod (except that one was a 350). In 1977 Car Craft magazine said this truck was faster than a Burt Reynolds T/A. it is still pretty fast w/ 114K on it. here are some befores and some of the inside. I want to get a Blazer back bumper and new dual exhaust. other than that its a driver. |

Re: How about some pics of 73-87 Long Beds?
Thanks Kenny. It was repainted in 1988, but has been a garage kept Southern truck (TX) it's entire life and never wrecked. I've been a lurker here for a while and I've always liked your truck.

Re: How about some pics of 73-87 Long Beds?
Thanks truckfan. I love the color combo on your truck. I found an original grille on Craigslist I'm trying to get this week and I've removed the chrome hood protector now. Going for a more factory look. If I can get it done this weekend I'll post pics.

Re: How about some pics of 73-87 Long Beds?
Big 10, thanks.
interestingly my neighbor growing up (Velma OK) had basically your truck w/ a factory 454. at 16, I had basically my current truck (same color combo) w/a 350 and the rare orange interior. my current truck is a a factory 454 Bonanza but loaded out. will have to look you up in Tulsa |
