Yeah, it kinda made me re-evaluate things though. If the problems would not have came I wouldnt of ordered the arms cause I wouldn't of tore it down again. I'm thinking it's for the best.

Not yet. Been slacking on the build. Took a break cause I was getting really frustrated... Also been super busy coaching little league.

Took control arms to powdercoaters today and he told me it would be 1-2 month wait so I waited in the parking lot and thought a minute and went back inside for them.

prolly gonna spray them with automotive paint. Base/clear

Small updates... Painted my calipers and spindles and rotors & assembled them. A bit of overspray on rotors but it will come off once it gets road worthy.

it was hard lookin at what I had just paid lots of $$$$$ for just sit and collect surface rust due to moisture.

Pulled the engine this past weekend & it's not the flywheel bolts from what I'm looking at. Pulled valve covers and none of the valves are dropped. Guess I'm gonna have to go a little deeper to find my problem. It's weird though cause it was running perfectly fine all mechanically sound before I started to cut up the frame.

My engine did the same thing. Sat for a long time and when i went to rotate it it locked up. It was the distributor shaft. I guess it sat long enough that it was dry and rusted up. Maybe you can pull off the cap and turn the engine a little and see if the rotor turns?

just a thought before you get too far into a tear down.

I'm getting the control arms powdercoated at a place called "Orbit" in Lubbock Tx, but I found a guy 1 hour away from my house probably gonna start going with him. As far as plates not sure what I'm gonna do with them yet. I can make you a pair. Pm me

Had some buildup on my #5 cylinder wall due to a leaking head gasket (Im thinking) so when I would turn the engine I was using a half in drive ratchet I would feel it hit something and I didn't want to do any further damage to the engine I would automatically stop. I talked to a mechanic and he said that it was minor. If I would of fired it up the piston would of knocked the buildup free, but I'm glad I found the problem this way then the head gasket going completely blown and leaked water everywhere internally. Just gonna re-hone that cylinder and go from there.
