My stepson just learned to ride down in W Palm Beach. First thing he said was I should have done this long ago, hes 27. Me, I ride rain or shine the coldest so far was 20 degrees warmest was 125. Its all good. I need a solo cross country trip every now and then just to keep my sanity.

I pulled the tired 70cc out and put in a 4 speed 110cc. It's street legal and can go 57mph

Re: Pictures of your Motorcycle

I guess I can join this thread now. My wife and I just picked up a '69 CT90 trail bike. It needs a bit of work, but then again so does my truck, and most of what I own come to think of it lol.

Right on! I have wonderful memories of a Trail 90 that I had. When my kids were small I needed a bike that was tame enough to ride along with them on their minis. I found a 1970 Trail 90 with a big buddy seat mounted on the rack. My Daughter was ten and my son seven at the time. Some of the funnest rides of my life were on that old 90. Either chasing the kids around, or with all three of us on it at the same time riding around the campground it was right in the middle of the fun. It's been twenty years , and the bike's gone, but whenever I see one it still reminds me of those great rides with my kids long ago.

Where's your picture? You have to do this right if you're going to post here!

Let me show you how this is done. All you need is a picture and a caption of some sort... hmm, on second thought, I guess all you really need is a picture according to the rules. I'll include a caption with my example.

I'm going for an all day 150 mile dirt ride on Sunday. I washed, and prepped it today, so the bike's nice and clean in this picture. Just for fun, I'll take another one when I get home from the ride to see how dirty it gets.

ttt for ya Dennis

Re: Pictures of your Motorcycle

We rode over 200 miles today. 160 of it dirt. Man I'm whipped, but what fun. Seven departed, Seven returned. It was good day.

Well... The bike doesn't look too bad, just dusty. It ran good all day with no issues.

Re: Pictures of your Motorcycle

That does sound like a fun & tiring ride. What did you do for gas? Was there a chase truck?

Re: Pictures of your Motorcycle

ok Jhwkns, Ill get with the program. Heres my heap.

The phrase 'needs work' doesnt even begin to describe this lol. Ive never had a bike before, but it cant be to bad. Good examples of these sell in the 700 - 1000 range now. At 60 bucks, this was cheap enough. Parts are plentiful and cheap online. I figure I may still have a grand in it by the time its done, but by then Ill know every inch of it and wont worry about what might go wrong.

Chinese knock-off engines are available pretty cheap for those. You might be surprised. Those are fun little bikes. I hope you have fun with it.

Re: Pictures of your Motorcycle

Bought another XV 750 Yamaha yesterday. Only 200 bucks. Now I have 2 of them. I'll make one good one from the 2, and have lots of extra parts to sell. This one even has a complete engine, ignition key and a title.

I have one of those. But I think you're off a bit on the restoration cost. I thought I could do mine for $1000-$1200 but when all of the smoke cleared, it cost around $1,800. I sold it the local Honda shop for $1,900.

I had a couple IT's over the years. A 400, and a 465. The 465 was one bad momma.

Sweet! If you want to do some desert riding, look me up. It's cool to see some other DS bikes on here.
