Re: Project. Long Overdue

So I messed with the leafs in the back to get it where it sits right, front fenders color sanded and bolted on. This weekend I will finish spraying some small parts and brackets and bolting the new Intake/carb on. It gets exhaust in a week. Thanks for looking.

Looks great! Would like to know what you have for a rear spring set up? I have the same leaf springs on my 67 gmc.

I took two leafs out, flip kit and a 1" block. I bought a bell tech shackle and have the springs bolted on the 3rd hole (I'm not sure what that is for drop) Overall I think its around 7" drop.

I know it man... I need to come down and get the grille and bumper real soon. My wife is not going to be very happy with me the next few weeks. $$$ I'm going to Goodguys with it with a full cooler in the back.

Wow! It's been a while since the bed has been on there. It looks like a complete truck now. The drop looks great, it has that just right stance. I want one like it!!!

Re: Project. Long Overdue

Great looking stepper!! Around post # 80 you are aligning panels and you have tape on the body lines. Is that to help alignment? What is the purpose and how can I use it to help better my build? I am a huge stickler for good lines

Thank you. Yes my painter was using the tape for alignment, once he got them where he wanted them he started on getting all the gapjust right.I guess it was to give him some reference points that stood out with the primer. All of the curves in the panels are dead on. We also pinned everything. a small hole was drilled in a spot you can't see, then a drill bit is placed there for reassembly so the panel will line up exactly in the same place without having to mess with a ton of adjustments. I helped with some of it and learned a bunch. I hope this helps. Thanks for looking.

Re: Project. Long Overdue

Finished polishing the hood and installed. Started on getting the brakes wrapped up. Still have a few small parts to paint and some misc. nuts/bolts to polish.
