Re: 1966 Chevy SWB Gasser influenced truck

This was incredible to read. I cant believe the work you put into this. I would have never thought w/w would look so good with Cragers. I might have missed it some where in the build but what kind of fuel tank did you use?

Awesome job man! I love the ride height. I like how it looks like a simple truck at 1st glance, it makes you pay ATTENTION to what has been done. Those are my favorite builds, not the look at me stuff. Congrats on a great build

Re: 1966 Chevy SWB Gasser influenced truck

I bought my truck Dec. 24 2007. Yesterday marks 3 years of ownership. Thanks again Brandon. It has been a long time since I have kept something after it runs. Have had the truck out to a couple of "cruz nights" and even been driving it daily the last couple of weeks, Love taking my kids to school in it (ages 3 and 7)!! I took the family out Christmas eve night to look at Christmas lights IT WAS SO COOL. Just wanted to tell you guys what a kick ass time my family and myself have been having with "The Pusher".

Phone pics of it in random places!!!

Glad you still have the truck and are enjoying it. I read this whole build and was amazed at what you have done. Clean, simple ( looking) and just well executed. You should be proud. Keep enjoying all that hard work.

Are you the one who had that satin gold SWB with white walls? If you are then I put that truck up with this one.... Maybe I just love wide white walls.

Anyways glad to see your enjoying driving the pusher. Looks great you did a great job on it.

Re: 1966 Chevy SWB Gasser influenced truck

I did change valve covers was getting to much oil fog out of breather. I hated to take of 327 valvecovers, but no more fog is really nice. Was going to vent my old valve covers but got a smoking deal on these.

PS: have painted PCV valve semi flat black to match hose and gromet since pics.

Re: 1966 Chevy SWB Gasser influenced truck

Truck has been painted once. Along time ago. I did paint tailgate, rockers, front lower fender patch panels with a SPRAYCAN.

I wanted to clean up my truck the best I could with out getting out of control. Several good scrubbings with out waxing it.

Hope this helps.

Washed the truck up. Going to the Nostalgia Drags this Sunday should be fun.

Was reading the DROPMEMBER Thread and realized my avatar looked different. "The Pusher" won the 2011 March TOTM.
