I agree 100%. You can't forget about the lone puddle that stretches from lane to lane that sneaks up on you on an otherwise dry road. Or the freeway on-ramp that gets tighter and tighter at the bottom and the front tires are plowing and the rear tires are folded over almost sideways. You'll be pulling over to pull the seat cover out of your @ss. I love Pro Street cars, but you have to change the way you drive. Slow around the corners, creep up over the speedbumps, and MAT it when it's pointed straight!

I was really surprised how my Vette handles with the extra weight in the front. I even let my brother auto cross it at Good Guys last weekend. It did way better than I thought it would with skinnies up front and big slicks and a spool. But I have had those oh chit braking episodes. Try not to jab the brakes hard or the fronts lock and skid. Been there done that.

Back in the 90's when I was married, an old neighbor used to do a 'fly-by' in front of my house. He had (has) a square body w/a big nitrous inhaling 555 bbc. There were black marks 4 houses long that stopped right @ my driveway. My immediate neighbors weren't very happy when he dropped by.

This is his current ride. He builds some clean, detailed stuff....

Dino,... I wish I knew you were going to buy the "big meats" so quickly.
I talked to a guy last year that had a 66 Impala with 21.50's on the back.
He switched over to the Mickey Thompson Radials and said it was "like driving a new car".
He couldn't over emphasize the difference it made.
I know they're higher,... but that's what I'd buy if I was gonna drive it.

You may have plans to just "set them up in smoke" all the time. Ha.

keith i have had a few prostreet cars and my panel is tubbed and had mickeys on it at one time , i know what to expect out of those huge mickeys and can hardly wait to drive it and yes smokey burn outs all over thanks kat

I'm running Hoosier radials on the '55 I'm building, and I'm anxious to see how they ride and handle. It'll be the first time I've ran anything other than Mickeys. These tires (29x15.50-16) are a little smaller than what I'm used to running, but Hoosier was closing them out and I got them directly from Hoosier for $80 (!) a tire. I wound up buying 4 tires. The 16" diameter probably was a slow seller, but they are perfect for the 16x12 ET III wheels I had custom built.

I have put the '55 on the back burner until I get my '64 up and going. The '64 will be used as my parts chaser, so I'm not going hog wild on it. Once it's a driver, I'll be back on the '55.

My in-laws live in Surprise, AZ, and the next time we head over, I'd love to see your fleet. Congrats on the new building. Is there room inside to store some of the trucks? What side of town is it on?

What are you doing for an engine? I have a friend that builds killer chevy engines for a reasonable price. I just wired up his new shop. He has a new web site in the works, but here is his current site. http://www.unitedracingengines.com/

He can build you anything you want, but his current packages come with a great warranty and will have a dyno sheet.

Here is a video of a blown SBC that he built for another friend. He could never get it to hook and will be in the 7's soon after some chassis mods he is doing.

hey Tony i think thats blazer was a buddy of mines mike royals he sold it a while back , but it never had that big of a motor in wow!!! buy the looks at that huge bug catcher looks like a pro-mod motor in it

no work on the truck this weekend but the inside is ready to paint and will get sprayed tuesday, back halfs getting closer and just wait on my rack for the front I did get a bed for my 66/c50 its just sitting on there for know in a few weeks i will get back this truck too
