Re: Got a new truck
Well its on its own weight. Flexed to 40ins to the bottom of the back tire, on 31s if it matters. But we ordered the heims for the front I guess.

Re: Got a new truck
Well today I believe we are going to get a set of 38s on 8lugs. I will drill them out and start getting ready to swap the dana 70s in. And going to have to think about how we are going to lik the front. I want to do a double triangle 4-link. But it might not be possible, so I may have to do a 3link with panhard. At full bump it will be where the front sits front maybe a inch higher.
And for the black tow rig we are going to get a 454 today. Edit: I don't know if I said this but we are getting a 02 vortec motor for it, we just have to pull it out before the person sends the truck to the junkyard.

Re: Got a new truck
Well we picked up the 38s not the best but will work for now. The Rims are 16.5x12s so I'm going to jack up the black truck and swap them for the ones that are on my boggers so they don't wear uneven.

Re: Got a new truck
We got the 38s on the rear d70, tomorrow we will put the 38s on the front d70. We ordered the heims and coilovers and springs for the front. They will be the 2.5 fox 16in travel res coilovers. We ordered the coils based on a full size with a 454, so we I believe we will be swapping in the 454 we picked up.

Re: Got a new truck
The rims we got with the 38s fit it fine. We went to hand drill if but the bit went thru. So we put them on. THe stock rims and the spare for the black truck didn't fit but the these did, maybe someone driled them before us?

Re: Got a new truck
I think the rims make the difference, I had them next to my boggers and they seemed huge. Still on my way up in size, I want to go to 44in boggers.

Re: Got a new truck
16.5x12s, the tires are 15.50. My boggers rims are 16.5x9.75, and the tire 16 wide. And the 38s seem to sit wider by a lot.

Re: Got a new truck
Yea, I see no problem with it, just the looks you aquire. to narrow of a wheel will give a sucked in, and in cases a balloon looking wheel. And to wide a balloon. But a 38x15.50 should wear pretty good on a 10in wide wheel.

Re: Got a new truck
Well we are going to sandblast it today. We have 200pds of 20 grit. So we should be able to get the backhalf and some of the frame. We got the winch line lead extended, By about 5 in, 2 inches to much. But should work.

Re: Got a new truck
Well the sand ran out prety fast but we got the backhalf, rest of the cage running into the cab, the dash, and the rest the stuff we need to weld too. I started sanding while my dad went to get some more paint, but they where closed i assume because the superbowl. So I just sanded most the truck, except the top, and a the back of the cab. So tomorrow my dad said he would sand the little thats rest, and paint it.
Here is some pics. First the fairlead thing. Then A pic of my dad blasting, and what I blasted. Looks bad but is good. And what I sanded, you can see the portion of the hood I didn't get.
