The dually will have a JMI flatbed on it. It will have the super trim with lime green over pearl white.

Re: post your 67-72 4x4
Here's mine! 72 3/4 ton 4x4. I am just finishing up a major upgrade including new dyno'ed 500 hp 454, built up th400, dana axles, new 6" lift, new transfer case, headers, 3" exhaust, flowmaster super 44's bla bla bla the list goes on!
I'M LOOKING FOR DUAL SHOCK HANGERS FOR THE FRONT WHEEL WELLS, SOMEONE POINT ME IN THE RIGHT DIRECTION!!! By the way, I can't get enough of this forum, I'm loosing sleep reading all of the great posts!! Last edited by Crownliner; 02-28-2010 at 02:27 PM. |

Re: post your 67-72 4x4
Oh by the way, I'm going to need a 3rd door opening mechanism if anyone can point me in the right direction. Also, has anyone changed their headlights to HID and added cab lights? I want to add hid or blue tinted cab lights to the roof. I live in Arizona, all of the streets are straight, and Arizona is the second largest destination for "Seniors" to visit durring the winter (snow bird's) I want them to see me comming!
The biggest issue I'm facing with this suburban ........... NO rear AC. I am buying a front AC system and plan on adding louvers to the dash so its clean and stock looking. It regularly gets above 115 degrees (I've lived through 127) so I want to add a rear AC Unit where there is none. Any suggestions? I am thinking of adding an AC Unit to the spare tire well and mounting the spare tire to the roof with a custom made aluminum roof rack/luggage rack. I would sure appreciate any feedback any of you awesome guys can give me. Last edited by Crownliner; 02-28-2010 at 06:39 PM. |

Re: post your 67-72 4x4
I pulled out the old motor (350) & trans (4speed) & put in the 350/350. I had the radiator redone, I replaced the doors with original doors from a 1971 Chev motor home & they are almost like new. I put in an original newly upholstered seat. It put in a HEI distributor with new wires. I have some nice 10" original six lug rally's ready to put on with caps & trim rings. I want to get it running in the next month & then have it as a rolling restoration. The trouble is I just had someone make me an offer that is hard to pass up ito:

Maybe! I haven't decided if I want to sell it or not, I was really excited about seeing it completed. But then again I also have another project. My 62 short fleet big back window

1967 SWB 4X4 283 w/ granny low 4 speed. Here is a link to my other thread I just started. The plow is gone, the huge whip and light are gone. I just got her home last week, 90% original, almost zero rust, gonna keep is mostly stock with some nice daily driver type upgrades.
