Re: Lets see some 73-87 work horses

Traveled 1500 miles with the 350/400 combo and got put to shame when I arrived in the mountains with this 9000lbs behind me. Engine upgrade is a must

Going to the scrap yard tomorrow. Got the back half of a c30, a washer and dryer, a couple bikes, a window A/c, and some other odds and ends. Not sure on the weight.

Re: Lets see some 73-87 work horses

Sorry about the quality of pictures, they're kind of old. The all blue truck is a 75 4x4 100% stock on 35x12.5 BFG Mud Terrains and the blue and white is a 73 2wd. The 73 I learned to drive in and we owned it from when I was probably 7 until I got rid of it in high school. The 4x4 my dad owned before I was born, sold it to his friend who owned it until I bought it when I was around 18, sold it a few years later.

2060 lbs of scrap by the scrap yard scale, which I think reads in their favor..

Going to go look at this 1987 R3500 truck at a used lot. 32K actual mileage and a 1-owner to boot! If its legit, it'll be my new workhorse! Pics of this thing are drop dead sexy IMO! $8900 is the asking price....I'm sure they prolly only gave 3-4K trade in so we'll see if they deal at all.

Building a small, high rpm engine with the perfect bore, stroke and rod ratio is very impressive.

I kinda found it by accident-the interior is absolutely gorgeous and all original! All the GMC badging gets me all excited about it! Nicest dually I've seen around here for quite some time!
