I just got mine and its actually a 71 chevy long bed i;m just too cheap to change my name.lol This is my first chevy truck and only my second chevy.its pretty rusty b ut i'm thinking i just saved this old girl from the grave, I havde met so many peoploe that save cars and trucks from that grave..I will tell anyone thats reads this post evryday alot(i don't know the numbers) of 67-72 pick ups are getting smashed for metal..

I'm 49, Bought my 69 Short Fleetside (with 23 options) in dec of 1984 when I was a young man of 24........Both my boys would LOVE to have it before I'm gone!

I have had 3. A 67-lwb, my 69, and a 68 3/4 ton beater I have had for the last 5-6 years.

I am 67 and have owned 4 of these babies. Just for laughs I totaled all replies to this question through 10:33 PM Jan 29 and I find that the average age of owners is 35.4 years. Also, it is surprising how many of those responding never said how old they were - just how old they were when they got their truck.

I forgot to tell you guys that I'm 53 with a 6 and a 9 year pair of boys. both of them get a truck when they turn 16, the nine year old gets a 1969 short step and the 6 year old gets a 1971 short fleet. They will both have fuel injected 250 straights six's with overdrives.....when the youngest one gets his it will be 49 years old.

23,got my 68 bbc 454/700r4 about a month ago and hope to end up passing it down to my child, first one is on the way and i find out on monday what it is. sounds horrible saying "what it is". had a 71 camaro at 22 but had to have a truck and couldnt have two "toys" as per the wifes orders so got rid of that to get my truck.
