I love what you are doing and I know you said that there would be a few miles put on this truck but I have to ask after this much work how do you drive them when your done with this perfection? Drive like stolen or push around with white gloves?

I have a factory original, un restored, 69 GTO with a little over 18,000 actual miles. When I first got it in 94 it had 17,700 miles on it. Just loading and unloading at car shows has added the extra miles. I have driven it a few miles around town before, but the stress is just too much! The car has been appraised at $350k, because it's supposed to be the lowest mileage GTO documented, so yes my tale gets a little tight if someone even looks at it! LOL !
I will drive the truck a little, and yes I will get in it's arse a little to see what it's got, but after that it will be slow gooo! I must say after all the vehicles I have built through the years, I really hate to even start the engine on this one! It has really turned out nice. Thanks for the input!!!!

Can we see some pics of the goat? Sounds like an amazing car. I dont blame you for the apprehension, I cant even imagine standing by it without freaking out that Im gonna hurt it!

I wanted to scan some pics, and download them, of the car, but my printer/scanner will not work anymore....da&%it. It's Liberty blue, with black vinyl top, black interior. and a bench seat. 350hp/400, with a 400 turbo. Still sitting on the original tires from 69, double white walls, 2 fine lines. They are not dry rotted at all! It stayed in a garage with heat and air, so there was no deterioration to any of the rubber. Was my grandfather's car, he ordered it new! I have ALL documentation, still have the original title. Kinda odd for sure...

You ! Whew, me too! I am so ready to get it done! Stuck a chain saw on my leg yesterday, full of stitches, so I will be down for a few from working on it.

Thanks VA ! I did everything by the book I thought. Nothing stupid??? Was falling a weird topped tree, really out of balance, didn't know for sure how it would twist off the stump. Had my get away path figured out before hand, made my last cut, tree started down, I ran with the saw, and picked my leg up too high while running, and/or had the saw too low? Either way, my left leg went right into the chain as the saw was still decelerating, about 4" above the knee. Went to the ER, 17 stitches, sore as can be today!!!!! No tendon damage, nerves ??? Could have been soooo much worse!!!!! Can't believe it wasn't.
