I feel stupid for asking this because I've seen the mod done so many times on this website, but what keeps the doors closed when you shave the door latches???

We will be installing double jaw bear claw latches in the doors and then a
power door kit to open the door.

Building a small, high rpm engine with the perfect bore, stroke and rod ratio is very impressive.
It's like a highly skilled Morrocan sword fighter with a Damascus Steel Scimitar.....

Cubic inches is like Indiana Jones with a cheap pistol.

Re: Scott's hotrods shop truck

FYI, all times are going to be PST for todays demonstration

Here you go.

Bear Claw latches are finished. These will give the door a solid shut and feel, as well as a safer functioning latch.

There rear section of the drip rail is shaved and finished. If you look at the reveal, you can see how the door is recessed a bit into the back of the truck. Justin is going to be cutting the top section of the door off and bringing it up and out to match the body line of the truck. Going to be a huge but subtle difference.

Drivers side's all done!

Here's the passenger side and it's no where near as nice as the drivers side was. Unfortunately there's going to be extensive repair to do in this side...but you'll never know it was there once Justin is finished stuffing the holes full of newspaper and slapping bondo on them! LOL!! Ooops, that was already done. Justin's cutting out the sections as we speak.

Stay tuned
