Re: Project Picacho

Here are a few pictures of Picacho before I sent him down the road! The new owner is giving him a new power plant (5.3 ls), a one piece window kit, and I believe complete Accuair set up. Hopefully he takes over this thread and keeps us informed.

One cool story and a testament to Nate's (Porterbuilt) stuff -is the guy came out to buy the truck and brought a tow vehicle and trailer, I said you got to drive this bad boy at least out of town. He agreed and said he would drive it for an hour or so - then load it up and trailer it the rest of the way home.

The next day we talked and he couldn't believe how well the truck rode and handled - he drove it all the way - 7 hours, 400 miles! How cool is that!

To add to the story, I ran the truck 75-85mph all the way home. Not bad for a 3 on the tree. The only thing more impressive then the truck was the fact my girlfriend rode all the way back home with me without a single complaint...no radio, wind noise I was impressed!

I'll start adding to the thread soon, still gathering up parts!

I am one of those weird jinx it kinda guys! Until it's in my garage safe and sound it ain't mine. I have paid my deposit- but stranger things have happened for sure.

I'll give a little teaser though- it could be Pichacho's 1 year younger little brother! His name is or will be "sLOW poke!!!"
