No I didn't have any problem in the front. I did have a problem in the back though. They didn't rub but then I dropped the rear to paint it and put it back and it just barely rubbed on the one side, so I just barely dented the inner fender and it didn't rub again.

Well it has been a while since I updated anything on here. I have been slowly working at the truck and have completed a few things since I posted last. With the cab I got all the drip holes welded up and all the paint removed from the exterior. I didn't like how the pieces I welded in replace of where the stock steering shaft go so I cut the pieces back out and then ended up welding two pieces of steel across the whole firewall. I also got one collector welded to the header and still have to weld the other before I can get them coated.

Then I started to concentrate on the bed some. Both of my bedsides have bad rust at the tailgate posts where the tailgate mounts. I ended up removing all the spot welds and taking the outer bedside panel off and removing the tailgate post into the two pieces. The replacement tailgate post I got wasn't exactly what I needed and I couldn't find any place that sold the inner tailgate post so I got pieces out of the replacement post I got for both the inner and outer tailgate. I still need to finish it up but I'm very happy with it. The outer post still needs the holes drilled. The first picture is what it should look like from stock.
What mine looked like:

Repair to outer post:
Repair to inner post: What mine looks like now, I still have to drill the holes and cut the outer post so that it matches the angle of the stock post:

Re: 1982 C10 swb "SS"
Well I'm still around, just don't have any updates. The truck is back in PA, and I'm stationed in AK, so it might be a while before I get the chance to work on the truck again.

Re: 1982 C10 swb "SS"
Well I'll still be up in Alaska for another 2 years so I wont get a chance to finish the truck until I get back home. I did end up buying a 1972 Chevy Blazer up here though so that is my new project. The plans for it are a 6" lift running 35x13.5r15 tires with drive line being a 2010 6.0/2011 6L80e and the original np205. Hopefully I'll get that running before the end of the summer and may make a build thread for it.
