A couple of pics I am proud of.
1. In my garage for the first time ever. 2. Here is my front cross member at full drop on the rockers. |

Re: My 1959 Fleetside Build
My Buddy Wes stopped by to help me out today. I love his truck. It is simple and has a great look. Static drop with a 350/350 combo on 22" steelies. Just right.

Re: My 1959 Fleetside Build
I found another project to go with my truck. I am keeping both.
It is a rust free 1959 El Camino that needs a lot of finish work. I have always wanted a 2 door 59 Impala and this is close enough. I did get the complete front end and lots more. Does this qualify as a truck...? The front end has already been nosed like the black one, and the rear is welded up. The guy threw in tons of parts and trim (and a rotisserie) . I am so happy. |

Re: My 1959 Fleetside Build
Yes, the black one is close to the goal. All the work was performed by others up to now. I have a few ideas that I want to incorporate.

Great build, really like your buddy's steelies and can't wait to see the build thread for the '59 El Camino.

Re: My 1959 Fleetside Build
killer build thread. just read through the whole thing.
Two questions: with all those trucks you found with the bed trim, do you have any for sale? And, are you going to goodguys this weekend?

Re: My 1959 Fleetside Build
Thanks -hooch-.
I sold all the trim. I have not touched my truck in a while. I bought a house (with a freakin 3 car garage) and have been working solidly to get it ready to move in while getting my old house ready to sell. I am going to move it to my new house very soon. |
