Morning rain led to afternoon sun on Saturday and I managed to get the passenger door and door jamb painted

Also installed new weather strip

Re: Project 78 High Sierra

Well Friday was a bit of a disaster...I spilled water in the engine bay removing plastic sheeting i had covered the car with while painting...It crossed everything up and stuff went haywire...Had to replace the wiper switch but after letting it dry over night fortunately all is back to normal... It was just weird...Blinker was on constantly with lights, lights would only turn on with blinker on and they would blink....So glad it was just wet wires that dried out

Well anyway after letting thing sit over night I reinstalled the guages, dash pad, and dash bezel to go to the car show/meet this weekend...

Truck looks much better with it in but the gas gauge seems to be a little flaky... So still need to fix it...

After the show I came home and order lumber from lowes and got my first hail in the truck to start building my workshop... Tired of working on parts in the open back porch and having all my crap in the spare bedroom..

So I built the outside wall today and tomorrow im going back to get the remaining wood to frame the rest and start putting everything in place

Also....lifting a 16ft wall by yourself is rough!!!!

Re: Project 78 High Sierra

The truck is on hold... The inside is basically all done, just need to put a little paint on some interior parts and get a new headliner...

As of right now im going to focus on the shop... Im hoping to put up the 16ft wall this weekend and maybe the other wall as well... Sooner the shop is done the sooner I can get back to work on the truck and get all the truck parts out of my house lol

Re: Project 78 High Sierra

Well while on my 6ft ladder I wiggled the corner of my 16ft wall wile adding a spacer plate and it came falling the **** down on the ladder...Luckily i jumped down and got under it to try to save it but the other side it the ground and smashed apart...Needless to say im coping with this by chasing shots of vodka with a screw driver

Re: Project 78 High Sierra

How was the car show last weekend? I really wanted to go but unfortunately had to work......sometimes I really hate my job.... I swear I'd quit if it was for the fact that that's how I fund the parts for my trucks lol.

Re: Project 78 High Sierra

Next time make an event out of it. Invite a few friends, buy some burgers/hot dogs and offer to feed and fellowship in exchange for a little bit of help getting the shop done.

Re: Project 78 High Sierra

Drove the truck to work yesterday and the exhaust hangers broke! So i ended up dragging it around part way to work...What part I dont know because I didnt notice until i got there.... Eitherway, I had a clothes hanger and a Fence tie that held it up until i got her home. Bought new hangers to install over the weekend...Sheesh...Rust Buckets
