Re: project "call of duty" 72 c10

Well it was a slow not so productive weekend. We tore the ls1 down and turned it almost into a ls6. We put the following in it.

New thumper cam
New modded ls6 heads
New double roller timing chain
New melling oil pump " high pressure "
Arp head bolts

Then tonight I turned my lt 6 speed into a ls 6 speed.
New input shaft
New bearings
New front cover
Washed it down good.

All I need to finish my engine is a oil pan and push rods. It's all coming together. Little by little.

I'm afraid to see what a productive weekend would look like.

Seriously, very nice work!

PS. I send you a PM with the answer to your question. Thanks.

Sound like a good power plant man. Looking really good.

That's the one thing I miss about working for Chevy.
Building engines for corvetts and keeping the engine cores to rebuild and sell
Well paying the core charge of course

I bet. There's money to be had if your smart. My buddy is a world class tech for chevy but he's afraid to bend the rules a bit. It should be plenty fast enough for me. Lol

Re: project "call of duty" 72 c10

So today we got rained out from work so I had some time free. I gutted the entire cab and cut the dash out while waiting for my box to come from LMC. I got the floor supports for the bed and roll pan, front wall of the bed. My wife cut my time short tonight so the **** I wanted to do didn't get done.
Basically all that's left on the bed is to weld to braces in and replace the front wall and cut the d.s rear quarter off. I have a patch panel that's going to be used. Then it goes to get media blasted. Then etching primer under coated then off to my buddy's house to get the wood work done.

Choices. Aaaaaahhhhhhh
Dark walnut
Cherry
Mahogany
Epi
Oak
Just not sure yet.

Re: project "call of duty" 72 c10

So as continued got the new braces welded in the floors. Floor is rock solid. Super happy bout that. My buddy Joel and I cut a section of the quarter panel out and patched it.
Now the bed is going to get completely sand blasted.

I should be picking up my frame from the powder coaters. Super excited.

Because of the whole lowrider and hydros, there going to be any special airbrushing or flake or anything?
