Re: Porterbuilt Dropmember
Rus is 100% correct on this. My dropmembers were absolutely worth the wait and I am a very impatient person so for me to say this means a lot.

Re: Porterbuilt Dropmember
Broey man that would be so sick.
I'm with rust built. I own a business also and it sucks to hire, train, teach others to do something you take great pride in. Regardless of what Mr President says I built my business from scratch, one car at a time, one late night or worked weekend at a time. I have ordered several times from Nate and sometimes the wait time was a week, others 6 weeks. It is what it is. He holds his guys, comps y, and his name to a standard. If that means longer wait time and he's ok with that then so be it. I wouldn't want to wait 8 weeks, but if the DM was the weapon of choice for me... Then I will wait. Posted via Mobile Device

Re: Porterbuilt Dropmember
I waited about 8 weeks for my dropmember. It was easy to get impatient at times, but the end result is well worth it IMO. And once my dropmember showed up I was like a little kid on Christmas. And the quality is unbelievable. Top notch product for sure. Thanks again Nate, Dave, and all the PB fabricators!

I know you're entitled to an opinion, but telling someone to "hire some more people or whatever it takes", doesn't understand the business. I'm sure Porterbuilt will be just fine... they've come this far doing what they do.

Re: Porterbuilt Dropmember
Had to add to my last response. All I can say is that everyone who ordered from Porterbuilt is a happy customer. That with in itself proves that what Porterbuilt is doing keeps customers happy. If you haven't ordered from Porterbuilt because of the lead times you my friend are missing out!!!!!

Re: Porterbuilt Dropmember
First off I appreciate all the support and compliments to what we do. We do our best and have a pretty good track record when it comes to quality and customer service. Perfect... no, but be always try to improve and always learn from experience.
Our current build time is pushing the 6 to 8 week mark on the orders... that's longer than I would like. The goal is to get it back to the 4 week range without sacrificing quality. That's not the easiest thing to do. We do have some new equipment coming in that should be here the end of May that will help speed up the production process and streamline a few things. We are also working on adding some more help in the shop... which is harder than most would think. I have a high standard and the "right" guys aren't easy to come by... or cheap. Needless to say, we are expecting to get back to the 4 week mark by the middle to end of summer (we will see how it goes). My business philosophy is simple... high quality parts and service will equal a steady flow of business. I know that not everybody wants to wait, but that's OK. Seems to be sufficient for enough guys to keep the food on the table and the doors open here at Porterbuilt. Nate

Re: Porterbuilt Dropmember
Most commoners do understand what a quality product is and also recognize that quality is at the forefront of most successful businesses. Perhaps choosing where to make a purchase from is based quality, quick product turnaround, or is it A-one customer service etc, I tend to believe it’s these and many other factors. Anyway, one thing is for certain, successful businesses are always (not occasionally) backed by satisfied customers. That’s all I got to say

Re: Porterbuilt Dropmember
That's beautiful. That piece should be sitting on a coffee table in a high end home. It's artwork, if you ask me.

Re: Porterbuilt Dropmember
It s looks like something that the drop member gets bolted to. Maybe this piece gets welded to the 55-59 frame, so that the drop member can bolt up to it??? That's my guess anyways. Now you have me curious.

Re: Porterbuilt Dropmember
You will have a much better idea when you start installing your front kit on the 59.

Re: Porterbuilt Dropmember
I guess the way I see it, Nate has been waiting for my money for about 2 years now, so 8 weeks after he finally gets it seems like a sweet deal to me.

Re: Porterbuilt Dropmember
I got mine about a year ago, I would wait as long as it takes to get another one if I do another project, the quality is that good. Being in an automotive customer serviced based business myself (service advisor), I see all kinds of people. There's the people that have no idea what it really takes to work on vehicles and people that appreciate how difficult it can be and just want their car fixed right no matter how long it takes. Personally I just try to under promise and over deliver so everybody is happy.

I can't figure out what that pieces is for either, and I already installed my front kit on my 58. What is it?
