Re: Project blue affair
Little bit of an update.
Wife tagged a curb in her car the other day pretty hard. Hard enough to bend the rear axle and kill a wheel. Bought a whole rear end and plan on fixing her car sat/sunday. Ordered some trailblazer ss wheels for it also. Then the plan is to get back on pulling the ls2 out of the GTO so I can get the Truck back in the garage! |

Re: Project blue affair
Not a huge update but the motor is almost ready to come out! Trying to take my time and make sure I don't mess anything up.

Re: Project blue affair
Really killer progress. Are there any special steps you are taking to be careful for removal? I'm always interested in how people take out LS motors with all the wiring, computer, sensors and keep everything straight, etc.

Thank you!

But everyone says they are pretty easy once you get into it. So im just going for it ![]() But to answer your question, we are going to be using a standalone harness (probably use psi conversions.) So the stock harness is just getting unplugged and I'm labeling the connectors that I know just incase the GTO gets put back together. And really just taking my time trying to make sure I get every thing disconnected without cutting or breaking anything that needs to be. Hope that helps. |

Motor is out of the GTO!
![]() Dad came over and gave me a hand this morning. Only missed one ground wire so I'd say taking my time worked out pretty good. |

Re: Project blue affair
Not sure if I ever said this in my build thread.
But I would highly suggest ordering parts from AZPROPERFORMANCE.COM Most of the parts for this truck have been ordered from Travis and Nick. Great customer service! |

Re: Project blue affair
Hey guys I have a question for ya.
what else do I need to pull from the GTO? I have the gas pedal and PCM pulled. I left the harness since we are going to use a standalone harness. Can you guys think of anything else I need or should pull? |

Re: Project blue affair
You need to get the TAC module that hooks up to the pedal. Sometimes these are unique tot he PCM and pedal. I have heard of people having issues when mixing parts...

Re: Project blue affair
Hey really appreciate it. I did some research after you made your post and it looks like the gto didn't have a tac module like other motors.
