Great progress. I know that photo of the fender over the wheel will be enough to keep the fire going on this build.

Re: 1970 Med Olive Project

Another project off of my punch list this morning. I got the PB hood hinges done. It was super simple but Nate's products are so well made they just fall into place.

Re: 1970 Med Olive Project

I started working on my firewall today and it made me remember how much I dislike smoothing the firewall on these things. It's ugly so it has to be done I guess. I filled 20 or so small holes today and started on the big ones on the passenger side.

My goal for the week is to have the big panel that replaces where the evaporater suitcase was on the passenger side finished. I'm also going to cut the lower struts plates down on the PB hinges so I can box in the wire gutter like I did on my sons cab. These are lofty goals but I'm going to try my best to get out there for a few hours each night and meet my goal.

You are right these fire walls are ugly creatures, I was just going to leave mine as factory but just could not bring myself to leaving it alone. How hard was it to cut those hinges into the cowl ?

It was very easy. I had about 2 hours from start to finish.

I really want to send the original bedsides to Kyle at C10Acres. He has that process down to a science.

Re: 1970 Med Olive Project

I finally was able to get out in the shop tonight. I finished the large panel on the passenger side and began repairing the bad spot on the core support under the battery tray. I'm going to put some hours in this weekend and knock a big chunk of this out.
