Re: 1963 1/2 Ford Falcon aka Martha
On another note, I finally got the correct parts from Mike tonight. So, I only had a little bit of time, but I got them installed and adjusted appropriately. I think this is really going to make a pretty significant difference in how the car is going to handle.
Here’s a shot of the parts finally installed and a shot of the correct parts vs the incorrect. |

I also got the last few pieces of the interior back in... I really like the black pieces, they really seem to break up the red. I’m not gonna lie...I wish I had done the seats in black too

Re: 1963 1/2 Ford Falcon aka Martha
I agree and It’s staying this way for awhile. I think drive it some and I’ll just tinker with it. The next big project is going to be minitubs and narrowing the rearend just a touch.

Re: 1963 1/2 Ford Falcon aka Martha
I drove the Falcoon up to my friend Sherman's today. Just shy of 70 miles round trip and it was awesome. Frickin’ tires still skkkiiirrrkkkk every once in a while. I hate that sh1t. I'm going to have to do a narrower rearend which means... If I do it, I'm going to go ahead and minitub it too. Then I can run a 9" wheel out back with plenty of room. I'm just gonna stay with the halibrand style wheel for now. The Fikse wheels need radder brakes, suspension and purty paint. That'll be the next iteration.

Re: 1963 1/2 Ford Falcon aka Martha
After a few drives, I did figure out that I don’t like the 17” factory style steering wheel, so I put in a 14” black billet one. Geez, it’s fantastic! You can see the Dakota Digital gauges too.

Re: 1963 1/2 Ford Falcon aka Martha
Okay guys, I raised the rearend back up 1” to clear up the rubbing. I’ll revisit this issue later...at least I can drive and enjoy it.
Which means I’ll be starting back on Walter |

The wife & I took it out to dinner...
I have to say that it’s funny to see the faces of folks on the interstate when I come booking by at 80+ mph. Last edited by nlped; 02-29-2020 at 09:32 PM. |

Exactly why I took the Falcon out today. Hell, it may be another month until the weather cooperates again.

Who knew that it wasn’t going to be the weather but a pandemic that would keep me out of my Falcon. Drove it some Monday.

Man, that car is fantastic. I love stuff that you don't see every day. Most folks seeing you booking at 80mph+ don't even know what they are looking at.
SWWEEEEET!

Re: 1963 1/2 Ford Falcon aka Martha
I decided to try installing a set of Detroit Speed mini tub kit for a 64-1/2 to 70 Mustang. The tracking number says it will be here on Monday. My reason for them is that I have a set of 18x10” Fikse Ford Motorsport edition FM10’s that need a home...so I ordered an inner barrel to make one into an 8” wheel to do some test fitting.
