Yep, that's what it is, Dan. I got this one from CPP and it fit perfectly. Think they call theirs a HydraStop, but it's functionally the same as the hydra boost setups from other outfits. I had a bad experience with the company that sold me the unit I used for Maybelline so I was determined to try someone else this time around. So far, this has been an easy peasy installation... no missing parts, bolted right in and no skimping on the line kit. One thing for sure, these units provide exceptional stopping power with light pedal pressure. The decision to go this route on CRLS was a no brainer for me.
Thanks Vic... I appreciate the info... this k we will go that way... I have never done a hydro so it will be interesting...

Get CRLS on the road and do a good shake down road trip to Wi field... lol...

Sounds like a good day trip, Dan. Still got a ways to go, though.

The front end is taking shape. You always worry whether the parts will go back together the way they should after total disassembly. I knew from experience the driver side inner fender was going to give me trouble but I fought it to a draw. All the bolts are in and tight, gaps look decent and with any luck, the hood will sit right. There's still a lot of wire routing and terminations ahead, but the picture is slowly getting clearer.

Re: Crusty Rusty Leaky Squeaky 67 Step

Thanks everyone! Told Brian when he called today that being around CRLS all the time, all I see are the warts. You guys keep me plowing ahead.

A few more shots with the bumper on and the hoses for the p/s, a/c, HydraStop, and heater core in place. Still need to take the a/c lines to have them crimped, but everything is cut to length. I'll be anxious to see if the Gates heat shrink clamps hold water. I plan to use one of those vacuum tools to fill the radiator, so it should tell me ahead of time if I have any leaks.

Merry Christmas Vic! She's looking great-- you might need to create a cookbook on engine compartment cooking-- she's cleaner than any kitchen I've ever seen!

I was gonna say, I was questioning the sanity of all that bumper business, but wow, the finished product is cool!

Re: Crusty Rusty Leaky Squeaky 67 Step

Thanks everyone for the Christmas wishes and especially for following along! My wife, Kathy, reminded me that in January, it will be five years since we drove CRLS home in the freezing cold. And even though we're in the deep freezer again, the heater in the workshop is going full blast and I'm shuffling toward the finish line.

I know what you mean, Chip, about the bumper dealio. When I started hacking the fenders and and the bumper with the Sawsall and the grinder, I wasn't exactly sure how it would all end. But the metal spirits must have pushed me in the right direction. Now as you mentioned awhile back, hopefully no one backs into me at Home Depot.

I've spent the last day and a half making a support bracket for the intake tube out of Delrin and aluminum plate. I had to go pick up the tube from the painter as he never got around to squirting it. Need to re-prep it and get it done, but it's too cold right now to spray anything.

Happy New Year to each and every one of my truck buddies!! Hope all of you have great success with your builds and on the home front in the coming months.

Re: Crusty Rusty Leaky Squeaky 67 Step

You definitely needed all three bolts on that bracket to hold the weight of that air intake tube because it just weighs a ton. /sarcasm off but seriously it looks great as usual, I like the attention to detail.
