Re: How about some pics of 73-87 Long Beds?

my truck is low and I can still haul and tow stuff...plus I have adjustable air shocks on it...rides great. imo ur wheel n tire combo will look killer on a lowered truck.

What about ground clearance? Unless you live on the salt flats I know its stopped you from going places.

Re: How about some pics of 73-87 Long Beds?

the roads around where i live is pretty bad in some places but I never bottomed out...the only time I cant drive it is when there is a lot of snow. but then I don't wanna drive it in the snow anyway cuz its a bit scary. I do have good tires on it so it doesn't slide around to bad. and besides its not a work or farm truck...im tryin to make a fun and fast cruiser out of it.

Re: How about some pics of 73-87 Long Beds?

Personal expression is the key to this hobby. It would be pretty boring if we had to follow rules in each of our builds. Whether it's ride hight, wheel selection oe even color choice, we are blessed with the freedom that allow us to modify our trucks to suit our own tastes. Oh yeah, even though my truck has a fairly deep static drop I still throw a bed liner in it and use it as a truck.

That is a really good looking truck mk, but I still like them sitting up a little higher.

My pride and joy:

Here next to my other truck, '79 C20 Custom Deluxe Camper Special.

Blue one is "under construction" on the moment.

Re: How about some pics of 73-87 Long Beds?

Thanks guys. Taste is a funny thing huh. You would think that if I liked my 2 wheel drive trucks lowered that I would like my 4 wheelers lifted but nope, I like them sitting at stock height. But I do appreciate all the work it takes to hoist these trucks up. And duallies? Love them and still regret selling my loaded '79 regular cab dually. In fact, (much to my wifes dismay) I am looking for another dually to slam and build a flat deck for. Odd? Yes. Different for sure. But its something I feel I want to do and I'll post a rendering of what I'm thinking about in the next couple of days.

Re: How about some pics of 73-87 Long Beds?

I have some photos of what i would like on my truck ,do you think mickey thompson classic 2 polished 15x8 aluminum rims would look good on my truck? there going on 33x12.50x15 super swamper radials and i would also like to put one of the spares i have in the bed mounted in between the roll bar tell me what you think? or is it too much, and does it suit the truck being it is flat black i have black rims on it now but i think aluminum will look great on it so long as there kept polished ? im geting them for 960 bucks installed new lugs nuts center caps and new tires switched over to new rims ,new stainless valve stems and taxes are included
