Taking a few days off and heading north. Stopped by the daffodil and tulip fields yesterday on the way up here. Tulips aren’t quite ready, daffodils are going gang busters.

My little Chihuahua Sammy. The meanest dog you'll ever meet. 2 pounds of pure hell.

He's in trouble. He broke out today and went down the road to the rodeo grounds. I guess he wanted to see a rodeo. He is an escape artist. No fence can keep him in. He will find a way to get out.

He had a buddy. Peckerhead. The neighbors big white turkey. We would come home and see this little dog and a big turkey walking around the neighborhood. Somehow he could get Peckerhead out of the yard He liked Peckerhead. He doesn't even like me and I feed him. He is Mamas boy.

Chihuahuas are cool little dogs. He and a turkey walking around a neighborhood together is hilarious.

Chihuahuas are evil...
wife's chihuahua is a sneak and a thief, always stealin' the other dawgs bones in the middle of the night and dragging them onto our bed...nuthin' finer than waking up with a gooey half chewed bone beside your head or under the covers...
really diggin' that cool pillow, got a better shot of it?

Yeah. Don't mess with a Chihuahua. He goes after my German Shepherd. We had an old Chihuahua She was about 19 years old and if she walked up to the other dogs they would run.

She didn't even have any teeth left. But they would run for the hills if they saw her coming.

When I met my wife she had a mean little dog. The neighbors called him "El Diablo' He must have bit me 100 times. Then one morning I woke up with him sleeping on my head. But he had decided that I was alright and he was my little buddy after that. He passed away.
I miss the little guy and my wife still cry's over him.

I'll try to get some better shots of the pinup girl pillows. I have a couple. I'm just not at that house right now.

Here's another pic of Sammy with his whipping boy Duke.

Re: Random Photos ‘You took’

Little Miss Molly is at a rare standstill in this pic, she is either playing ball, herding me or the grandkids.
Bottom line, at just over 4 months she is becoming a real fine family dog, she has her moments, but since this is our second Blue Heeler we knew exactly what we were in for.

The question is not, "Are you smarter than a third grader?" It's, "Are you smarter than a Blue Heeler?"...Sometimes I wonder.

My brothers' in-laws have a feed lot and they use Heelers to handle/move the cattle, so in a couple months we are going to take her out there and let the big boys show her how they do it. I know she will fall right in line with them.

Re: Random Photos ‘You took’

One of my younger brothers had a dog that was part Aussie cattle dog and something else. It used to herd his wife around the house. His previous house backed up to some apartment buildings. A bunch of guys would hang out at the wall behind his property and drink next to the dumpsters. A guy climbed over the wall to take a dump in the vegetable garden, and my brother sent the dog out. Nobody got hurt, but nobody climbed over the wall to relieve themselves again, either.

Funny you mention a wall
A couple we RV with had a Queensland.

Two fine upstanding tax paying citizens were trying to evade the Police and ended up rolling the stolen vehicle they were in. One jumped the fence into my buddy's back yard, the police had to come and get him to get the dog off the guy.

My buddy said as they led him out in hand cuffs he was crying he was going to sue the Police for turning that dog loose on him. He said it looked like from all the blood someone had stabbed him in his face cheeks and forearms.

Police told him sorry buddy was not our dog, don't run from the Police, and wrong fence.

Dixie was her name and we still laugh about that.

My Sears wagon. (Remember them?) It's an XL 500 whatever that means. Plenty of patina.

Sears must have had a deal with Ford (Galaxy 500 XL) or lawyers had important things to do back then

I thought the same thing when I first saw it.

It reminds me of the Daimler SP250. It was called the Dart in England and when they went to import them to the U.S. Chrysler put the slamma jamma on using the Dart name even though the two cars were not similar in any way.

It makes me wonder how GM got the Suburban name away from Chrysler.

During that whole time there was a company called Dart Truck Company that built heavy off hiway dump trucks and such. They had been in business since the early 1900s. Then there's always the Schwinn Sting Ray. Actually, before Schwinn made the Sting Rays they were already making a bike called Corvette. I always wondered what the deal was with that.

Most times a trademark issued in regards to usage . GM would have had the trademark on Stingray-one word-for automotive use

Schwinn used Sting -Ray two words

Edit just looked it up GM didnt trademark the name untill 2010 according to Google.

first Chevy suburban 1934 - first Plymouth suburban 1949

Chevy suburban is the longest continuous vehicle model name still in use..

only paused in WWII for military transport models

suburban GM trademark in 1988

Yeah, I just figured business were less uptight about it back then. Lawyers have changed the way things go, because they can. There was the Corvette model Schwinn even before the Sting Ray. I think GM just said, "Yeah sure. Go ahead and use the name". Kid rides bicycle, wishes it was a Vette. Good advertising. Not, "Hey, you have to pay us to use our name"

You make a good point. I remember reading about Chrysler giving a guy legal notice because his bar was named Jeep's Tavern or something like that. All of his buddies called him Jeep and it was his tavern so, what else is he going to call it? Anyway, they were trying to force him to change it. Can only wonder how different that conversation would go if they said hey, we have the right to keep you from using our trademarked name, but we're more interested in getting exposure for our product. Any chance we could give you some cool Jeep stuff?

Re: Random Photos ‘You took’

I think it is ridiculously funny to see vehicle logos and/or names blacked out on vehicles in TV shows. Everyone knows what the hell they are and if its profiled, the black tape usually mirrors the image. Like taping over the 4 rings on an Audi grill or the Bowtie logo on a Tahoe. LOL!
