Re: PO has me PO'd

I know AJs going to hate my fish pics, but i gotta do it again....i earned this one, 10-11 pounder

IMG_20140218_104512_204 by james_jaros, on Flickr

No fish was harmed in this pic., released in fine shape and swam away

OK, my internal batteries have been recharged for the year, time to start working on the truck.....
I think ill get back into the ecu wiring and clean that up, finish up some stray wires and put new shielding on the bundles, maybe wrap in some tin foil, to protect from noise

Re: PO has me PO'd

Started to mount up the bracket for the tank rollover vent, a good spot seems to be front side of the taillight bulkhead

Finally played with the present from Mrs. Claus, having a flat base seems to work for long cuts on sheetmetal

I want a lathe and some fish too..

This forum and all the guys on it, along with a few wonderful locals helped me to be a good builder. Tons and tons of info and help, all at the click of a few buttons.

Re: PO has me PO'd

Thanks AJ, Big J and Rick....
Sorry aj, but fishing is my second fav. thing to do, so i thought it should be documented

I agree with you, this board has helped alot, i can see how a mod. will look before i do it, change anything and then go about replicating it. Helps to be able to see it in my mind first, great fab skills from our member board. Wished i had some.....

Yeah Rick up by you, 1/2 north of Syracuse, Salmon River at Altmore. Just saw a pic. of youre spare tire mount, you really ought to clean your interior once in awhile, j/k
Thanks for the compliments, i try hard to make it perfect, because 60,000 motorheads are watching!

Re: PO has me PO'd

Had a couple moments to work on some areas.....installed distributor, worked on some vacuum problems(i need more ports - trans., vacuum gauge, P/B, cruise control). Bought an couple adapters(NPT to JIC) abit ugly, so i ordered one adapter to shorten the whole assembly. Problem is, i know nothing about how much vacuum i need, so, ill bore the fitting out larger then what i have and hope for the best......unless, someone has a better idea!

Found a place to mount dual stick emergency brake, now just have to make cables

Cool setup with the dual e-brake, what are your plans for a console? Or will the handles be hidden inside?

Plan is to put it inside console, if i can bring myself to cutup my OEM console, which i doubt.

Well, if you put it in front two wheel drive, and lock a single rear wheel, then turn in that direction, your turning radius is deminished. Basically, spinning on your rear axle

Thanks for looking

So much of your project has been centered around the detail work, I'd forgotten it was a 4wd. But yea I get it, very cool, I can see that being a very handy thing.... and here I was thinking about it being some drifting thing
