Moved some things around in the shop and changed the wheels n tires on mine. I found those ram horns I've been lookin for. I need some new exhaust pipes to go with them.

Re: What did you do to your truck today!
I GOT A NEW ONE!! Havin the short box is great but i still miss my longbox. I spend more time on craigslist than anyone ever should but this time it really paid off. Last october I decided I wanted a wall tent. After some searching I tracked one down in denver and the guy wanted $100 or something. When I called him and told him I was in town he said he wasnt at home and wasnt worried about it and told me I could just HAVE the tent cause it needed some work. Fast forward to last week. This tent is just too damn big for me to do anything with by myself (16x33 canvas army tent). So I put it up on craigslist for sale or trade for old chevy parts. Takes no time at all and I get a guy from Wyoming calling me saying hes got a gauge cluster with factory tach and factory tilt column. I agree to a trade obviously! After a brief pause he says "you know what you can have the whole damn truck if you want it. I have the title and it runs." One week later, last night, I brought the truck home! Heres a pic of the tent and the truck!

Re: What did you do to your truck today!
not bad, a free truck for a free tent. the only thing spent was gas. right on man. i met up with the western washington guys down in monroe at the swap meet yesterday and had a good time. LIVRAT gave me a gmc core support that i was supposed to trade a chevy for, but he just let me have it. THANKS LIVRAT! i also sold the bench out of my 72 for way less than i originally wanted for it, but i decided that i didn't wanna pack the thing back home. i also sold the chevy core support, along with a box full of tpi parts that i won't need. i also got a procomp cdi box for my ezefi conversion and a driver's rocker. so not too bad

Re: What did you do to your truck today!
F I N A L L Y started to stain the wood for my bed today. The first coat went on pretty easily. ( of course, I've spent the last two weeks getting the edges filed and sanded ) I'll work on the second coat this week after the first one dries.

Re: What did you do to your truck today!
It DOES get better.
From 2005-2010 I had ZILCH to spend on my Truck. Had to sell a lot of personal crap to do the small things. Since my Wife and I have moved down South, (the Money is better). In the last 5 Months, I've spent $5K on my Truck. Guess I'm making up for lost time.

Re: What did you do to your truck today!
Well I went by and saw the "Mock-up" of my Headers. I'll take pictures tomorrow and post them. They're being sent out to be Jet Coated,
while the rest of the Exhaust is getting tucked up into the Frame.

Re: What did you do to your truck today!
finally got the wiper arms off so i could get the cowl panel off. and i found out why i have moisture intrusion into my cab. its from all the crap that proping the cowl window defroster vent open. i'll get photos of it later. but the good thing is it looks like there isn't any rot, or major rot in my cowl area

Re: What did you do to your truck today!
I took seat in to get re-upholstered!! Hope to have pics on Friday or Saturday. After a lot of thought, I went with "custom" over stock, but love the insert fabric my wife picked out. It brings everything together.

Re: What did you do to your truck today!
Took the day off "sick" today and did the power steering conversion on my 67. The dimple and notching the radiator support bracket went good. It was the 5 trips to autozone and Checker to get new belts that ate up the whole day. Just finished up. Working ok but loud and I may have a leak but I am done for today. Time for that beer and a recap of the ballgame.

Re: What did you do to your truck today!
finished removing the front clip from my 72. i ended up having to grind the nuts off the core support bolts since the threads on the bolts were destroyed by rust. and i vacuumed out my cowl as good as i could and got quite the mouse nest out of the passenger side of the cowl. but now i really need to replace my drivers rocker since the front clip was holding the door area together
