Re: 1969 Short Wide
You got it quick and dirty. I can't tell you how much time went into that modification but it was worth it IMHO.
thanks Mark. |

Re: 1969 Short Wide
My son and I took the truck out to it's first public unveiling last Thursday at the local Sonic cruise-in. There is a bunch of older guys that just love old cars and trucks out there. At first the old truck didn't have much interest, but one of the guys came over and start looking at it, next thing you knew there was a pretty good crowd
They all gave me their stamp of approval. The fuel filler was a big hit with these guys, they were all just blown away. I was really happy how the evening went, it was good to share all those years of hard work, with guys that can appreciate what it takes to build one. |

Great job, Mike! Nice and tidy. It's always the little neat mods that take up all the time. Glad it was well received.

Re: 1969 Short Wide
Glad you got to enjoy a little cruise in time before winter hits us in the face. That's pretty wild that the F-100 is running GM power!!!

Thanks for the extra pictures! Your truck looks great. I am so far seat from where you are, but I will get there... eventually

One day when I grow up.... Truck looks amazing, and I may just have to "borrow" that filler setup idea for mine.

Apparently, I didn't get everything perfect so there was a howl noise when coasting. I took everything back apart last night and am going to try to set again tonight. Hope to be back on the road soon. I will get some pictures of the progress. |
