Re: Kabwe's aka Bam's build
Hey Bam, Really nice to see your progress! and sorry for the small setback,
Totally Awesome you got a test drive to motivate you! My Son came up and got his 59 out of my garage and he has purchased axles and transfer case to make it a 4X4, he is getting DEEP into going threw the trans and transfer case and spending his Mad Money! he has the Great job to do that and Very proud of him, he told me with him wrenching on his 59 it will give me motivation to get my 58 Cameo done Lol... Sorry for Rambling! Like always it is So Great to see your Build and it Does Motivate me also to get out in my Garage and get Something Done!!! Take Care my Friend! Allen |

Re: Kabwe's aka Bam's build
I like that saying back a few posts, it's nothing to it but to do it.
Keep going, even through the setbacks, your skills are awesome and your ingenuity is great. Inspiring for many. It's great you posted lots of pics and can teach many enthusiastic but unskilled starters how to do things. Sharing your knowledge and skills that way. Good on you man. You will be driving that project next summer and will get lots of looks for sure. |

Re: Kabwe's aka Bam's build
Got the seat back today.
Here is a before pic and you can see the marks made on the seat of the changes I wanted made. I also had the seat back cut down about an inch so that is not stick up when you look through the big back window (its a pet peeve of mine). Close up |

Re: Kabwe's aka Bam's build
Well I got the headliner installed. I did it a little differently because I did not want that black gasket that goes around it.
Here is a pic of the seat installed as you can see I had the seat back cut down about an inch so that is not sticking up when you look through the big back window. Like I said that is a pet peeve of mine. |

Re: Kabwe's aka Bam's build
That is really coming out nice. You should be comfortable doing all day road trips on that seat.

Re: Kabwe's aka Bam's build
I had to move the truck the garage to start work on the bed so I drove it around the block first and took some more pics.
Here are some pics of the work I've done to the bed. I completely welded the bed and added a inner panel to smooth everything out. I installed tubs and did a little metal fab to make a smooth transition to the angle strips. I also smooth the tailgate and installed a 57 Chevy third brake light. Now to grind more welds and start block sanding. |
