The guys that's gonna paint my truck has been saying next week for over a month now. Least you don't have to deal with that. It's really making me lose motivation and now I'm thinking of new projects

Thanks for the encouragement guys. I went to a swap meet and car show on Saturday and it was just what the doctor ordered. It got me out of my funk and back motivated. I have been hammering away at the bodywork on the cab since Sunday. I have the firewall, both rockers and the front window area smoothed out and in epoxy. They are ready for slicksand and blocking. My brother is going to come over this week and weld in my patches for me and then I can get the rest of the cab body worked and in epoxy.

Thanks Mike, it looked much better yesterday in the tent then it does today in the garage. I have a lot of areas I'm going to have to go over again and then hopefully the slick sand will fill in the little imperfections.

Thanks Tom, the swap meet area seems to be on a steady decline especially for us C10 guys. You need a Camaro or Chevelle to really find anything you need. The car show area was really good, a lot of really nice cars and trucks including a few nice C10's. I snapped a picture of a nice long bed, don't know if it's a forum member, never seen it before.

Nice progress Keith, the car show "thing" works! Every time I would go to a car show or cruise in I would come home and work like crazy on my truck ( for a little while )

Re: Project "What was I Thinking" 68 SWB

Some pics of my progress from this weekend, it's amazing how much you get done when you stop sulking over it and just get to work I have a few small areas still to bodywork and then it is on to the priming and blocking stage. I'm excited to finally feel like I'm turning the corner on the cab.

Keith good to see you back in the swing of things. Sometimes a small break and looking at other peoples toys is all you need. Truck is looking good and like Mike said you are almost over that hump!

Thanks it feels good to be close to being done with the bodywork on the cab. Never thought I would get to this point. Everything else on the truck will be a breeze compared to it. A few more weeks of priming and blocking and I should finally be ready for some color.

Thanks, once I get over this hurdle with the cab I should be able to make some nice progress on the rest of the panels and get this thing painted.

Thanks guys, I'm pretty much done with the bodywork on the cab now, unless something else pops up that I missed during my blocking stages. I'm really excited to be at this point with the cab, especially after the setbacks I had. I'm off from work on Monday and I took off on Tuesday. Monday I plan on prepping the cab, scuffing up the epoxy that I already sprayed in spots and stripping the original paint off of the roof, door jambs, dash and inner roof. Then Tuesday I plan on spraying the whole cab inside and out with epoxy. By the end of next weekend I should have the cab in slicksand and ready for blocking.
