Re: How about some pics of '73-'87 Short Beds
Found this one not far from me. It was up on ramps, filthy and would not drive. Got it, had the transmission rebuilt and it drives like a champ. I got a call from the previous owner and he handed over a bunch of paperwork. Turns out the engine is a jasper reman and it only has 40k on it. So it has a newer engine(350 FI) and new transmission (700r4). The only downside to this truck is the sunroof. At least it does not leak but other than needing paint (two small dings and a small wrinkle on the upper bedside) a new seat cover and a few odds and ends this will make someone a great truck. My little brother passed away around 95. He was a big Ford guy. I've always wanted to build one like his. Cant wait to see it.

Re: How about some pics of '73-'87 Short Beds
Damon 23, nice truck. You can have the sun roof taken out and patched. A friend of mine had his taken out but the body man has to know what he is doing. Two layers of skin. But a new head liner covers the inside up. His looks great. Keep the pictures coming.

This one is bone stock
This one is bone stock, maybe one or two options. Only a toy to keep my mind occupied, hence 1LowToy.
L6 Auto trans Power brakes Tilt steering column AM radio Aftermarket AC Dealer installed Oh yeah I can't forget the Bed Bath and Beyond side molding. (Leave it to a salesman) Only modification installed so far is an S-10 steering wheel. I've gathered a few goodies but I'm not ready to tear into it quite yet. The have nows: Stepside bed, needs a floor. 15x8 rally wheels Bell Tech 3" drop spindles Bell Tech 4" rear spring location brackets and shackle hangers Polyurethane bushing kit (Don'tknow if I wanna go with that yet) Wish list to go: New tires. (I don't think I can get those 215/75s to air up on 15x8s) Sway bar for the front at least. (L6 models or this one does not have a sway bar) New wood for the bed. Then some interior refreshers. Maybe a 700R for behind the L6. Time will tell |

Re: How about some pics of '73-'87 Short Beds
No it's a 57 buick. I was looking for something different than all the grilles that you could get for our trucks, All those tube or billet ones and was going to go with the 53,54 Corvette grille till I found out they wanted $300.00 for one!! Found mine on a Hot rod forum. All told I have about $125.00 in the whole thing!
