Cleaned Rat Poo out the Cab, popped off my hub caps while it sits in storage because I'm waiting on title before I start the build!

Re: What Did You Do With Your Truck Today ?
workin on getting the radiator spaced back for A/C. I bought the biggest condenser I could find for the front, and it's thicker than I thought. Gotta clearance problem with the steering box if I move the radiator too far back as well.

I installed a new bake switch, altered my throttle linkage to work better, installed the hood hinges and springs, and removed and replaced the u joints on my drive shaft before hanging it and giving it 2 healthy coats of satin black paint.

I think you will be happy with the small block. Easier to get parts and work on.

Re: What Did You Do With Your Truck Today ?
Thanks for the complement. That's a Moon Eyes tach and got it from a local SoCal Speed Shop. I think you can buy them direct from the company, they are around $70 or so, which I don't think is too much.

Re: What Did You Do With Your Truck Today ?
The usual oak bed wood finish is a polyurethane on all SIX sides. Buy the most UV resistant marine type you can find, then still keep it out of the sun. I planned to go to a marine supply place. BUT I've also read online that for decks THE best stuff is called Pentofin. Not positive on that spelling. It's an oil finish of some type. I may consider that in leiu of a hard gloss finish.
PS: Your boards are not each one continuous piece of wood? They've multi piece? Who did you buy that through? Posted via Mobile Device |
