He also gave me a disc brake frontend..I think its a 71 72 style.
Can anyone confirm this (he said it was a 71 72 Im pretty sure he is right but when I order BJs etc I want to order the right stuff. Also had a swaybar and a TH400 and some misc stuff in the rusty cab I need to measure the rearend to see if it will accept the 5 lug axle (wide/short) Happy to get this, thanks again member 'matchstick' phillip!

Re: The Blue Goose
Was my original intention, but I hate to blow apart and relatively good running driving truck (minus rust holes etc)
Im going to rebuild the frame with drop spindles sandblast paint everything rebuild front suspension make holes in trailing arm crossmember for the exhaust replace the factory swaybar with a 1 ton along with whatever other cheap/simple handling mods I can come up with hopefully (my dreams) put an LS type engine/trans in it. I might make a build thread on down the road just to have one

Re: The Blue Goose
John the way to I'd it is: it has a 5 lug rotor on it. 2: where the control arm rods or whatever they are are held on by those u bolt things. The newer style 5 lug front isn't made like that. I took that out of a truck and put a 85 cross member in it.
I'm glad I could help you. I'm proud to have met a good "kid" like you interested in our hobby. Thank you for your service to our country. Lmk if there's anything else you need. Posted via Mobile Device |

Re: The Blue Goose
Well Im somewhat settled in now @ spokane WA its a little bit cold
connected to the internet so i can still look thru craigslist and on here. need to find me a nice used tv somewere close by cheap. Probably wont be very many updates till im home on leave again, the blue truck wont get much more attention other than a few things here and there and getting driven..follow the crossmember thread for any updates/future plans.
