What are you building? I thought you and Chuck were still buying and selling the crew cab back and forth still.

Re: Finally "Silvers" build thread!! ('78 swb 2wd silverado)
hoping to better the ecomony on our TBSS with a 6 speed auto some day. The 4L70e just doesn't have a tall enough OD for the 4.10 gears. I guess a gear vendors od might be another route. I have heard of guys putting 3.42's in their TBSS.

Re: Finally "Silvers" build thread!! ('78 swb 2wd silverado)
You're crazy as hell! I am currently doing a frame off resto mod on a 70 CST. I WILL need another old body style crew cab one day though. It would be at the house now if Chuck and I could have got together on transport a few months ago. Neither one of us could manage it at that time.

Re: Finally "Silvers" build thread!! ('78 swb 2wd silverado)
I started one but progress has been slow. Fixing a few things around the house first.
Make me a good enough deal Chuck, I could use a 4x4 crew cab still. http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s....php?p=4597050

Re: Finally "Silvers" build thread!! ('78 swb 2wd silverado)
I thought about changing gears when we had ours, but just wasn't worth the effort. I heard it won't gain you that much to offset the cost. Our Tahoe is actually better on gas mileage, and the payoff will come much quicker. However it cost $91.00 to fill it up the other day

Just throw it in the back yard. I'm sure your wife will understand.
