Looks good! I agree with the Matte Black for radiator and core supports. It'll look clean and go along with anything else you choose.

Thanks guys, 5 things painted and what seems like a 100 more to go I'm hoping to get the cab off this weekend and start working on that. I really need to get my but in gear and get the cab and doors done over the next few months. Have I mentioned how much I despise doing bodywork, I actually don't mind painting but the priming and sanding sucks and I'm running out of patience fast.

Good call on the black for the radiator support and parts you really can't go wrong with black for these parts

Thanks I have had a lot of practice over the last couple of months like most guys have told me, painting is actually the easy part. What it takes to get to paint is the hardest. Bodywork and prep is a real PITA.

Re: Project "What was I Thinking" 68 SWB

So you're beginning to see what everyone's been talking about? Does this mean you'll be spraying the red when it comes time for it? What you've done looks good so far. Keep it up!

Thanks, that is the plan, we will see how it actually turns out. As slow as I work it will probably be forever before I see Red again.

Thanks, hopefully it doesn't look like a rookie painted it when it's done

Re: Project "What was I Thinking" 68 SWB

Yesterday I got the core support mounted back up to the frame and bolted my radiator cover on as well. I ran to the local Pepboys and picked up some universal aluminum grill screen and some epoxy. I used the epoxy to mount the grill on the backside if the cover, turned out pretty nice I also got the hood off and unbolted the cab from the frame so that I can hopefully get that off today.

Thanks guys, I really like the way it looks and I'm happy I repainted the cover Satin Black too. It has the perfect sheen to it.
