Looks like a great "pit" to start in!! Especially if the body is at neat and clean as it looks upon 1st glance. Good luck and happy fixing!

My wife talked me into getting out of the shop long enough for a 75 mile drive up in the hills today since the weather was so good. Here's some pics.

Re: How about some pics of 47-59
Thank you sir. Just some minor touches. Wheels and some cosmetic touches. It has fuel injected small block. Four link 9 inch rear and chevelle front clip. And all kinds of other goodies! I will put a build log together shortly!

Sweet, nice, beautiful paint/color! Same as the first AD that caught my eye when I was a kid. It had wire wheels but I like yours better...can't beat burgundy with cream wheels.

Re: How about some pics of 47-59
Thanks! Believe it or not, the paint is actually a Mitsubishi color - Ultra Red Pearl. It came on a couple of their vehicles in the mid-2000s. It is a color that Ron at the paint shop had taken notice of one time and kind of "filed it away" for a day when a customer comes around asking about a deep red color. It really jumped out at me because it has a depth to it that makes you think it could be a three-stage paint, but it is only two stage (base/clear). The paint also has great flop - depending on angle and light, it transitions from a dark deep cranberry to something close to a candy apple. We took the stock mix and roughly doubled the amount of gold metallic in the formula to really make it pop in the sun. So, technically a "custom" mix, but with a defined starting point.
