There isn't much that I can say about your work that hasn't been said a couple of hundred times already so once more - awesome work.

I did have one question, the frame that you used is rack & pinion steering on a 2001? I didn't think GM started doing that until '07. My '04 silverado still has the old style steering box, what trucks came with R&P in '01??

-Richard
Thanks for looking and liking!

2 wheel drives had rack and pinion in 99. 4WD still had a Saginaw box like our old trucks through 2006.

Looks good from here. The time you probably spent fabbing the bumper is more then some progress. Soon onto the interior.....

Looks good! So, what are the plans for the outer bumper brackets?

Factory 72 items that I must bend and twist. The bending was easy, the twisting took a mighty big pipe wrench!

Y'all are too funny. It's coming, don't worry.

I've been at the muffler shop getting my resonator and tip installed. Much better in the cab now.

Grille is installed!!!

I forgot paint my bumper brackets, so I masked off for overspray.

Now everyone can calm down knowing the grille has been installed.

I am sure I speak for EVERYONE who's tuned in hear when I say, I appreciate the hard work you've put into this thing. While many people you meet will think it came from the factory as a crew cab, ALL of us here have a lot of respect for you and that SWEET ride.

Drew,

AWESOME truck. I spent most of my day reading this thread when i first found it. Crazy to see it almost done.

Only complaint is the rims.... there has to be something better then those stockers. It makes the truck almost look original. ahaha Which means you did a great job.
