Re: What did you do to your truck today!
I changed my Front "Indicator/Running Lights" over to LED.
Reverse Lights are next week. Then besides the Headlights, every light on my Truck will be LED.

Re: What did you do to your truck today!
i drove mine to the golf course...... left the keys in it on accident. i wasnt that worried about it. I live in a really nice area. I was just glad i didnt loose the keys on the course. I noticed they were not where i normally put them on the 12th hole.

Drove to the Home Depot today to get some replacement sprinklers...
Just so happen to park right next to a pretty clean Black 69-72 truck. Anyone here own this pretty sweet truck, took a sneak peak under the truck and noticed it had some Bright Red cherry bombs welded up under there. Location Home Depot off 1431 in Cedar Park TX |

Got my new lug nuts on the new wheels. Started to clean it out. Chasing down an electrical problem. Hope to have her back on the road in a week or so.

Re: What did you do to your truck today!
Installed my OEM AM radio and speaker "system" in 100+ degree heat with high humidity, and bolted down my front seat onto new carpet and sound deadening.
Radio doesn't work, and I am hot and miserable...

Re: What did you do to your truck today!
Installed a headlight relay upgrade from Classic today. Only cost me $30 bucks shipped. Installed simply but I had to put wiring loom over the whole thing. The yellow wrap they put on it was nasty! I am looking forward to pulling her out of the garage tonight to see if the lights are much brighter. Also installed my E-brake cover. About as much as I want to do in the 95 degree heat out here.

Re: What did you do to your truck today!
Brought the truck to the first car show since I've owned it. Since I've only owned it for about 1.5 months. Cruise Nights don't count.
I REALLY need to buy some license plate frames with the year on them. #1 question I get asked is the year, driving or stopped. Had 2 people just today as hat year it was as they were driving next to me.

Re: What did you do to your truck today!
Mix bondo, sand bondo, make dust, repeat as necessary. In other words I continued doing the body work. I am sure I will need therapy after this.

Re: What did you do to your truck today!
Installed a Holley electric fuel pump, and installed a new vacuum modulator on my turbo 400 as the last one was allowing tranny fluid to pass through to the vacuum line right to the carb.

Re: What did you do to your truck today!
Removed heater core/box, removed cowl panel from below windhield, cut out the old 6cylinder exhaust pipe and muffler. Removed tail lights, reverse lights, clutch pedal, door panels, instrument cluster
Also had to grind off some welds. The previous owner installed a sheet of steel that covers the wood bed and he welded it to the front, sides and back of the bed. It was a PITA, but luckily i had enough patience.....and a grinder with 3" cutting wheel.

Re: What did you do to your truck today!
I did cut a low hump cover the same border as big hump to install it in my truck.
I've a camaro floor shifter but the cable is short with the big hump and with the low hump i'll have about 2 1/2 inches and I expect now will move more smooth and soft. |
