ha ha, he said he clocked me at 91 MPH with his [ahem] invisible radar gun, ha ha, I told him I was passing and was about to get back in the middle lane, and the guy was reasonable, he said I will write you up for 80 MPH in a 70 and I said "DEAL" !!! so Traffic School here I come, spending the money I saved on this battery pack in the process.

Re: My Dusty 71 GMCe Electruck

so about to do a teardown of the newer SP41 battery packs which are the same form factor as the SP06 but have 12 kWh capacity instead of the 9 kWh

BMW started making the SP41 in July of 2019 so if you are in the mood for one, hold out for these newer packs - you're welcome

I would say expect to pay $150 per killer watt for these beauties, so roughly $1,800 per 12 kWh pack these days

each one of those six modules is 65 volts !!! and weighs 27 pounds

I am shooting for 100 miles and with 3 of these 12 kWh battery packs aka total of 36 kWh I should have a range of approximately 120 miles

we guestimate that by using the 3.5 miles per 1 kWh magic number, so

3.5 x 36 = 126 miles

I will house 2 battery packs in the front aka in the engine or should I say motor bay, and the third under the bed aft of the rear axle, where some install a gas tank

I plan on installing the second pack this fall, any weekend now

yup, can't wait to enable the second electric motor inside that Lexus transmission and up the horse power to 225 hp (though that is not the max, the end goal is 300 hp at the rear wheels, none of that at the crank crap)

Do these replace what you already have or are they going to be in addition to what you are running now?

these will replace the older 6 modules which were only a 9 kWh pack the original plan was to use two of those but since then BMW came out with a bit larger energy wise packs but in the exact same physical form factor, so out with the old 6 modules and in with these newer 12 for an expected range of 84 miles, but we are not done yet, the ultimate goal is a 100 mile range

the new packs are 12 kWh each and I am putting in two of them for a total of 24 kWh
