Re: The Blue Goose
Just checkin' in. Planning on going home again in late May for lil sis graduation, will try to get some parts ordered and rebuild the front crossmemeber and add dropped spindles while im home, wished I had access to the truck(s) and tools I could make some real headway on the weekends
![]() Anyways I bought a toyota tacoma pickup so thats keeping me busy on the weekends (1999 so im doing some maintance etc and having fun tinkering). Wished I had taken some good pics cleaned up with the slots for a backround pic.

Re: The Blue Goose
Considering seeing randall one of these days hopefully I see the crewcab at goodguys in spokane this year? May end up having him do me a cab and hauling it back east along with some other sheetmetal since its more solid in the inland PNW (desert someplaces)
Headed to TN in 3 days super pumped got a few misc truck stuff I want to do, see link below for details. Oldblue is probably not going to change much just keep it going and eventually try'n get another cab for it oneday. Im going to try to build a lowered shortbed lsx maybe even truck up from the frame starting with the front suspension.. Link http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=548136

Re: The Blue Goose
Long time no updates still have the truck bought a battery for it a few days ago and rebuilt the battery tray (only rust I've successfully repaired). Looking for a replacement cab with "minimal" rust (isn't everyone). I've got a short bed frame and a rebuilt crossmember I'd like to build a new truck with but that's a way off

Re: The Blue Goose
Started swapping everything over to the short bed frame I've had for a few years now. I've got a swb drive shaft that was sbc/th400. And a longbed drive shaft that is sbc/3spd. I'm thinking I can combine the 2 to make my desired lent and have it rebalanced? (2 piece drives haft ).
Got a lead on a cab or 2 hopefully I'm driving a bedless bluegoose in a couple more weeks. Got the rear suspension swapped around this eve. And nate im honorably discharged after 4 years. I joined the TN air national guard though.

Re: The Blue Goose
Hello! Stingraye here -way up in North Bay, Ontario, Canada...
I recently bought a 1971 GMC 1/2 ton and want to do a two tone, white/powder blue paint job. I realize that it is an old thread about the "Blue Goose" BUT.... If the build sheet is still glued to the inside of your glove box, could you supply me with a picture or at least the paint code listed for the baby blue you have on the truck you bought back in 2008? (assuming it is the original paint!) Thanks a bunch! Stingraye |

Re: The Blue Goose
pull your pan, take a pic of the bottom of the engine, and the pan.

Re: The Blue Goose
Says it's for "marine" engines Keith.
The 10T is correct for two side provisioned dipstick blocks/pans. He needs the one side only, if I'm understanding correctly. Quote:

Re: The Blue Goose
If you measured your pan and found that it takes a "thick" gasket, the one you have should be ok.
I assume you mean by "10T" that you have this gasket ----> http://www.summitracing.com/parts/FEL-OS34510T/
