77 dwh
Thank you, it took me along time to save and gather parts. After that it took about a year and a half to get restored. I just yanked the motor out now its time for a little more snort. Let me know if you need any help with your build. Love these old trucks |

Re: How about some pics of 73-87 Long Beds?
I might as well get in on this. Here is my 86 GMC 3/4 ton. 6 inch lift with 35 inch tires wrapped on 20's. Built 350 with a big block chop, 4 speed manual. Yes, this thing sees a lot of mud even though it's pretty.

Nice 'fleet' you have, I would be proud.
You'll never see a group of clean trucks like that in one place around here! No rust in Utah? I have been itching to do a 6.0l swap in something for a while, they are plentiful and affordable now that they have been out for a while, and you can put them in almost anything. Quote:
It took me about 5 years total for me to find all these trucks. I got the 84 for $4200 in 2008, the 86 for $4600 in 2009, and the 85 for $1800 in 2011. Since then, prices on these trucks are skyrocketing in my area. Rust buckets are going for upwards of $6K, it's bull-crap. I got offered $10k for my 86, but just couldn't do it I chose the 5.3l swap because of the cheap price. I have a budget of $2500 on the swap. I haven't got my swap running yet (cold weather), But I'm hoping it will pay off as a dependable daily driver! Thank you for the compliments. |

Re: How about some pics of 73-87 Long Beds?
The 5.3l have been proven to be a big bang for the buck with power and fuel economy and there is tons of performance add on's for them.
It will make a good driver I'm sure. Have fun. |

Re: How about some pics of 73-87 Long Beds?
Yeah I'd say so! lol I was going to do the same thing with my K30 cab & chassis only with a D70HD rear and flares but have since changed directions. I think it would look better with Dually fenders and 4x4.
Here's some pictures I stretched on paint:

If you're talking about the pictures I posted then no, those were just pictures of regular long beds I did that to.

Re: How about some pics of 73-87 Long Beds?
Gotcha, you know a C&C has a narrower rear end than a regular dually, right? Enough on that I don't want to clutter this thread.
