I must be really insane after 15 years of being around this stuff. ![]() Quote:
![]() I got a little upset today. When I realized I need to repaint my grill mounting panel, inner fenders and cowl screen. Note to self.....Buy more than enough material and only use that. I had our paint supplier mix my first gallon of single stage. Later on I mixed the same paint code at work they are both PPG and the color I mixed was darker. Another lesson learned. The middle of the HL mount panel is the right color, but the last time I painted it I dusted some color on the ends of it where I sanded thru. On a good note me and Shannon got the bed on and rolled it outside for some glamour shots.

Re: Project Vitamin C-10
Thanks Scott, Having to repaint those pieces I mention earlier took away the wow moment when the bed went on. I'm going back out to the shop to look again.

Don't you just love that lift? I do other things with it too besides lifting trucks.

Amazing job as usual Alan. Can't wait to see it in person again. Maybe the next time I come up we can hear the rumble of the 383.

Re: Project Vitamin C-10
She looks very nice with the bed on.
I got the linkage and other pieces from you on Thursday last week. I will have to clean and paint the linkage, but it was in real good shape. Thanks again.

[QUOTE=Alan's Classic;4733730]Definately made putting the bed on nice and controlled. I really don't need to know what else you do with your lift other than work on cars/trucks.

Re: Project Vitamin C-10
How exactly does that help? Never mind I don't want to know.
It doe'snt really have a pee trap. A Pee trap stops the fumes from coming up and into the living space. You know methane is explosive right. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Looks like Alan is in high speed. Truck is almost ready. Can't believe you haven't started it yet.

Re: Project Vitamin C-10
I don't know which option to go with. Because of limited knowledge of drive shafts. I need a new yoke for my T350. I've been looking for a used one just for mock up. I haven't done much looking, but so far nothing in the used department. I will check the local junk yard tomorrow. So far in my research I have found this new one. Here is the info on it. It's not the exact same size, but since I am getting a new shaft made it shouldn't matter. Maybe I should just contact the local drive line shop and see which route to go. Maybe I can provide a measurement and just have them make it.
This yoke accepts 1310 series u-joints, which have 1 1/16" outside diameter cups and measure 3 7/32" wide to the outside of the cups. The following transmissions have 27 spline output shafts: Powerglide Saginaw 3 Speed Saginaw 4 Speed Muncie 4 Speed Borg Warner T-4 GM Borg Warner T-5 GM T-350 GM TH-350 GM T-56 700R 700R4 4L60 4L60E 4LL0E 200 Metric Brinn Bert Falcon Yoke Features: Spline Length: 4 1/2" Total Length: 5 1/2" (measured from the center of the u-joint to the end of the yoke) Accepts: 1310 Series U-Joints 1 1/16" U-Joint Cup O.D. 3 7/32" U-Joint Width (measured outside-of-cup to outside-of-cup) External Clips

Re: Project Vitamin C-10
No that grey pipe goes to the breaker box, but not a bad idea to ground the pee funnel. I wouldn't want to get a shock on my U Know What.
