Re: How to: Ruin a perfectly good C10
What kind of welder had you been using. Mine is an old Millermatic 120. I really think it just needs some work. As far as power settings it's just 1,2,3 and 4. I think an adjustable dial in smaller increments would be an improvement. It's difficult to weld thin metal without blowing holes in it.

Very nice Chris! You have convinced me that my ‘67 needs those Inner fenders and to be lower!

Re: How to: Ruin a perfectly good C10
FYI, for the next floor welding project (or interior even more so), harbor freight sells welding blankets that work quite well

Re: How to: Ruin a perfectly good C10
Drive your junk to work day. The plane in the background was already 10 years old when the truck was born and is planned to be in service for another 30 years. The ‘75 C10 is a factory big block short bed, bagged on full PB front/rear, owner’s grandfather bought it new.

As much as I’ve cussed at this thing the last few days, I really want to hate it, but I can’t. Just look at that face

Thanks! I’m sort of in love with that square. It’s just so simple, but it works. Same could be said for the B-52, I suppose...

Last look at the old girl for a while. Duty calls again and thankfully good friends step in to help out. At least I know while I’m away she’s in good company and in good hands

Re: How to: Ruin a perfectly good C10
Scheduled 36-month tour. Funny you call it hibernation, it will probably see more daylight in the next 3 years than it has in the last 3

Re: How to: Ruin a perfectly good C10
All she needs is a little finish paint work and a life-size cut-out of Gringo himself and she'll be coming to show near you! After all of the hard, exceptional work that Gringo has done, it would be a shame to not let her get some exposure now that she is ready to hit the road and stretch her legs.
