Re: What did you do to your truck today!
Added JC Whit "soundmaster" chambered muffler and a shiny turn down. $24 muffler, $8 turndown. All very temporary until I can get it to work and start phase two.

Pulled all three benches out, and re carpeted the floor front to back.
Installed my last piece of body trim - a little 7" piece that I have been hunting for for many years. (Thanks MAR-K!)

Re: What did you do to your truck today!
Took out the seat, removed the carpet, started cleaning the cab floor in preparation for the new rubber mat. Need to patch a couple rust spots first, then new door seals, etc. Does it ever end?????

Put a new carb on th '70 last week. Tonite "threw a tune-up" on the '70. Now I need to replace the front seal on the tranny, it's leakin' like crazy.

Re: What did you do to your truck today!
Installed a new power steering gear box, trimed and painted the inner fender well, tightened up the leaky tranny pan, looked at the blown out brake line and wondered if I would ever get another one(been waiting a week to get two from Autozone) and pressure tested the new gear box. So far no leaks. Time will tell tho.

Re: What did you do to your truck today!
I load tested the battery on the truck after it didn't want to start. Compared it to the battery in my Buick SUV and discovered that my Buick needs a new battery.
Maybe the starter in the Chevy has a bad ground causing it to not want to start. I'll have to do some digging. Or I may have some kind of parasitic draw killing my battery.

Re: What did you do to your truck today!
Did a little work on the father / son project (my 14 year old's first rig). Pulled the recovered bench seat and visors from the donor cab. Cleaned them all up and sprayed a couple fresh coats of vinyl dye. Started going through the ductwork. Repaired some questionable headlight wiring. Then showed my son how to shift through the gears in the 4 speed. That was the best part!

Re: What did you do to your truck today!
Well I went by "The Shop" (my 2nd home), to just B.S. with the Owner and his Son.
The Conversation got around to the Tired Engine in my 72 GMC, and how I had bought a GM Crate Engine back in 2004 (ZZ383/425), for my 67 C-10, and that I paid $5600.00 for it at the Time. Well that type of Income is in the past, so we got around to talking about engines, and I told him if anyone ever came into the shop with a "Well Worn" 350, that was in better condition than MINE, to give me a call. Anything is better than my 185 HP 350. So he says that he's got a 32 Chevy Delivery Sedan, that has a stroked 350/383 from the P.O. He says it's approx. 350-390 HP. He said that I would have 1st Dibs, when he puts his NEW engine into it!!! This Guy not only has great Customer Service, but treats me like part of the Family too!

Re: What did you do to your truck today!
Took mine to a local cruise in last night, and hung out with some friends and looked at a few hotrods. First time I have really drove it since I recurved the distributor and changed the timing, and jetted the carb. It runs better than it ever has, and no more extremely stinky exhaust. Gonna go to a show tomorrow too, and enjoy cruisin in the 67 as much as possible this weekend.

Re: What did you do to your truck today!
Cleaned and painted two of my temporary wagon wheels Rustoleum Dark Bronze and mounted the tires (255/60 F, 255/70 R). My co worker still has the other two rims. Just wanted to see what it looks like. Man, its gotta be lowered!!
