I would Redtag that for you, If it were in my jurisdiction.
All ground electrodes should be electrically tied together to avoid a difference of potential.
There should be a ground rod or rebar electrode near the panel in your shop. What is that wire bonding anyway???? bubba

Basicaly everything except the inside is single stage and recleared. The inside of the cab is BC/CC.

I think you are looking at Dennis' shop. He has the pleasure port in his shop. If not his then I have no clue. My shop has a ground rod.

Been sanding on my bed wood. You can see the before and after.

Got the freshly painted fuel filler installed.

A few up the skirt shots.

Trying to figure out which color to have the fuel tank powder coated. I will be getting the fan shroud I made PC as well.

That is my shop, and I got permits for everything. And it all passed. I do have a grounding rod real close to the box. I had a licensed electrician run the wires from the updated 100 amp box on the house to the shops box 90' away. He ran the wires to the box in the shop from the house. I did the rest.

You can see the grounding rod on the right sticking out of the concrete.

Dennis I don’t think Bubba was trying to say your shop was wired wrong I think it has to do with you tying it all in to what you are calling a pee cup, you know you’re not fooling anyone here we know it is some kind of pleasure contraption and that big piece of conduit and grounding rod is tied in to the plumbing some how behind that 2x6


Alan on a more serious note and to give your thread back I have a question about spray guns. I will be stating my project soon and will be needing a gun to spray primer as a beginning painter do you have any suggestions for an inexpensive quality gun and do I need a gun for each process or can I get one that can do it all with different tips??? BTW You are the master that truck is a real work of art !!!!!
Oh and one more question, Why is it so much fun to wind Dennis up???

Of course you do know Alan you have to do a project pay off video so you need to yell across the fence to Shannon and tell him to bring a video camera cause we want action shots. I know that you put a lot of work into your truck and that paint is gorgeous but you are going to have to grit your teeth and put a little burnt rubber in the fender wells.

That's a hard question. I will say this, I used a cheap gun on the first car I painted 23 years ago. I used it for primer and single stage. If you use only one gun clean throughly between primer and single stage. I was pretty meticulous at cleaning the gun. I didn't have any problems on that one. Since then I've had contamniates come out on my color coats and later on clear coats. It's very irritating to have a nice job and something like that happen. that's why I and most all painters have a seperate gun for primer, color and clear at the least. I've used cheap guns and was well pleased with them. My first gun came from Sam's club. Since then I've bought guns from Matco and was pleased with them. After using the painters gun at work I was sold. I bought a used Iwata LP 1.3 tip from him. I love that gun. It really breaks up and atomises the material. I have less runs than before. I didn't have many, but I can see the difference.

Definately practice before painting. I tell people to go to a local body shop and get their left over paint and maybe some parts that came off a wrecked car and shoot those. Our shop recyles old paint. You may have to get some reducer and hardener. It's worth a shot.

Always spray your edges first no matter which coat you are on. That's on e of my major problems. I'm getting better at getting them.

If you spray mettalics always spray the panel in the orientation it will be on the truck. What I mean is don't spray a fender laying down on the table.

Sorry, I didn't answer your question directly. I just stated what I have done over the years. There are so many choices out there. What might work good for me might not be he best for the next guy.

Me neither. I'm scared, it's been on the stand for 11 years. Don't worry I will prime the oil with my home made oil primer. What's that you say. i will have an article on it soon. Most know about it, but some have never seen one.

If the engine runs and runs good. I won't be scared to light them up. Shannon might get mad, he's always cussing the speeders in out hood. I won't be speeding, just sitting there smokin' em.

Tanks for the paint gun advice Alan. I guess I will start with a cheap gun to get the etching and high build primers on then buy a couple better guns for the paint and clear.

As far as Shannon yelling at the traffic in the hood don’t worry about it us old Marines get kinda cantankerous but we mean well as long as you’re not to close when the veins are standing out in our necks you’re fine. Oh if you are call a maggot you might want to run.

I got the fuel line all hooked up and ran. Still need to get the tank PC.

I pulled the drive shaft out to check the length. It came out of my truck when it had a PG and now I have a T350. The yoke wouldn't go into the tranny. I always thought the PG and T350 spline counts are the same. I counted and they were. I believe the corrosion on the yoke is stopping it from going into the tail housing bushing. I cleaned on it some, but it was late to try to fit it again. Once I determine the length is good/bad I will have the drive shaft reworked with a new yoke and U joints.

I took my girls up to Clayton, GA for fun weekend with me. We will be in the rivers all day tomorrow. They had a blast last year doing it. We are staying in a motel this time. Look at the friend we found in the pool.

I survived the trip with just me and the girls for 2 nights. Since we share snow pics, I thought I would share some North GA pics.
