Re: Chucks SWB Fleetside

Yes it is sweet Matt. Love it cold lol.

I got a clamp for the e brake from Todd today and got it on and the cable adjusted. Thanks a bunch Todd!!
I also put a piece of piping around the filler tube since the guy that painted my truck left it open around it. This will work until I want to change to a wood bed.

Good to hear you got it and it worked. Can not wait to see this in person next weekend. Did the guy get the rear end done already? I thought you was taking it in for that yesterday.

Re: Chucks SWB Fleetside

I got the new glovebox in and the light. I painted the top of the breather because it had a couple scratches. I put a fire extinguisher in it but its not fastened down. Not exactly sure where I want it yet. I got a piece of 2' square tubing to mount the charcoal canister. I'll get that on next.

Re: Chucks SWB Fleetside

Everything on your truck looks great Chuck.

You need to mount the fire extinguisher where you can get to it fast, just in case. Somewhere that you could release it and use it quick. There is probably not enough room between the seat riser and the console. Any room behind the console? You could velcro it to the carpet. That way it is out of sight but easy to grab and use if needed.

Just my thoughts.
Take care and have fun at White House. I wish I was close enough to attend.
Tom

Re: Chucks SWB Fleetside

Thanks Tom. I took Choncho on his maiden voyage today. I went to get some gas and it ran well. I think my speedo is off by 10 mph but thats no biggie. My steering wheel is turned a little to the left but that can be fixed with the alignment. Just small things to do now like:

mount the charcoal canister
get a spare tire cover
replace the trim on the tailgate(ordered from Mar-K)
alignment (Friday)
paint the rotors
shim the hood a little
touch ups

Re: Chucks SWB Fleetside

Chuck,
Glad your almost done! Now it frees up room for some of these projects in my garage! I'll thrower on the trailer and head that way.
Seriously though. I think it's time for someone to do a sticky on the correct order to do a project. You and Bruce could collaborate and help a lot of people out to stay focused an create some realistic timelines.
